Question:	Can the timer be programed to operate for longer than a week? I have a new lawn and I'm going away for two weeks
Answer:	Once you set your program - it will last as long as the batteries last. Get some extra-strength batteries and you should be ok for two weeks.
Question:	Can this be programmed to spray every five minutes for the duration of one minute
Answer:	the directions you can set the water duration from 1 to 240 minutes. You can set the water frequency as every 6 hours, 12 hours, or from 1 to 7 days. Not sure if this will help you or not. I like the timer. We have them set up all over the property.
Question:	Can each port be programmed with independent frequencies
Answer:	On the TWO-PORT, each can be set independently. Answer:	Yes, The timer has 3/4 inch hose thread. If you were going to use it on the end of a pipe, there are adapters to get from hose to pipe and vice versa. As far as I know, Orbit does not have the adapters, but Home Depot, Lowes or most any hardware store sells them.
Question:	how often do I need to replace batteries
Answer:	They last quite long, as the unit itself died before the batteries did! In our salt air environment, we just replaced the unit after about 10 months. Good product!

Answer:	The frequency is set by the number of days...so 1 is every day, 2 is every two days, and so on. You can also set every 6 hours or 12 hours. And you have start times as well.
Question:	Would someone kindly explain why this Orbit with a brass connector gets lower ratings than what looks to be the same timer with a plastic connector
Answer:	I personally prefer brass connectors, plastic have the potential to crack or ruin the connecting threads if they are not properly aligned; my personal experience.

Answer:	If you remove the front cover, there are buttons for selecting a zone and running it manually. There are LEDs in a circle around the Rachio logo, numbered to match the sprinkler zones as you select your target zone. Once the zone you wish to water is highlighted, simply press the manual run button. Good in an emergency, but this unit's primary use case is using the app or website.

Answer:	The Iro utilizes EEPROM, persistent memory, so the last saved schedule(s) are stored on the device itself. Answer:	The sync up is totally different in that just approaching the devise with you smart devise it will ask for the serial number and then you are linked with the unit. There are several manual cycles when you do not have wifi available during initial installation. There is the function of the using flow sensors in the future. There is much more space for the valve wires. There is the visual of what valve is operating during the irrigation cycle on the controller to name a few.

Answer:	The valve opens at the programmed time......even when there's no water at all. However, if the water source is a rain barrel, only gravity will be pushing water out.

Answer:	These are very good timers with somewhat normal watering time capabilities, but I am afraid not with sensitive enough options to offer the timing you require. Not sure if any full electric timer can do what you want it to do, but definitely no battery operated timer can do what you want.

Question:	Does this have a time log? Cause im testing it to water now about a min no water still comes out or is my device broken? Should water come out readily
Answer:	I'm not real sure I understand the question; however check these items.....1st make sure the batteries are good. Then to make sure the water flows properly put the dial to "Auto" and press 'water now". Wait about 5 seconds and water should flow out, if not make sure your faucet handle is on. Then if water doesn't come out your device is broken. Note: This is only for a test. Once this cycle finishes, your normal programmed cycle will resume. Good Luck!!!

Answer:	Yes. Once connected to the faucet then a hose on the out flow and you have the batteries in and settings configured it should only allow water flow once the string is reached and opens the valve. It should not flow freely through the valve unless the strings allow it. Hope this helps

Answer:	I just spoke with raindrip customer service at 888-825-4716 and the representative stated categorically that the device WILL shut off the flow of the water when the battery runs low. It won't get stuck with the valve open and waste water when the battery dies. I just had an Orbit hose timer fail and waste thousands of gallons of water so I inquired specifically about this before making a purchase. Incidentally, the technical support line answered the phone promptly - unlikely Orbit, where I waited on the phone for half an hour before giving up.

Answer:	10 days yes, 45 days no. It has 32 day max interval setting with 4 hour run time max. I just verified on my orbit app.

Answer:	It will still work when you are gone, but you would not be able to communicate with it. If you use the WiFi adapter it will be fully functional from wherever you are via the app. With Bluetooth only, you could set it up but once you are far away it would be on its own. Also, with no connection to the internet it would not know the weather. If you set it up (very simple to do) it watches weather forecasts and goes into “rain delay” and does not water if there is rain. It’s a great system and a very easy to use app. When traveling I see it come on and off and do rain delays. I can also turn it on/off anywhere I am, or reset the schedule.

Question:	Can you give more detail about hooking it up to a anti-siphon setup. I need new valves so I bought 57623 as well. How would it clip on the pipe
Answer:	The battery only specific solenoid that comes with the timer unit should be screwed into the siphon valve just as you would any other ordinary solenoid. The cable attached to the solenoid plugs into the bottom of the timer unit. The timer unit comes with a bracket type holder that clips on the timer unit. There is an opening that enables the timer unit while attached to the bracket slides onto the top of the solenoid holding the timer unit in place. Hope this answer helps you.
Question:	Can this be mounted to a rainbird valve
Answer:	The rainbird valve's solenoid may have different threads, so the solenoid from this Orbit timer would have issues threading into the top of the valve.
Question:	How do i connect this as an anti siphon valve? the inlet is straight across and i need it to be 90 degree like dig solar powered timer
Answer:	Jessica, you will need to replace your current anti-siphon solenoid with the solenoid from this timer. The timer itself should clip on the vertical section of pipe.
Question:	Can I just swap the DC solenoid onto the existing irrigation valve
Answer:	It all depends on what the existing valve is. As long as the valve is a plastic (light green) Orbit valve, it should work. I have it connected to Orbit Automatic Converter Valve (Part #57029) and it works fine. However, the DC solenoid is incompatible with the heavier duty Orbit brass bodied valves.
