I am the only one who uses it, I always drain the water and store properly, it does not come in contact with anything that could cause a leak, particularly as this hole is near the top of the hose that connects to the outside faucet. It is past my return date window. I can not find any info on the guarantee from this company either - it is one big circle of clicking - no website. Very disappointing. Not a cheap hose............I love everything about it except that it only lasted less than 4 months. If anyone has info on who to contact please post.

Answer:	Yes and that would make it for non potable (drinkable) water. Brass may contain up to 2% lead which can leach into the water flow. There are hoses listed with aluminum fittings which are for potable water. P.S. we all grew up drinking from the garden hose and lived to tell about it. Answer:	I'm not sure, but it's very lightweight, I have a really bad back, two fractured discs and arthritis in my spine and I can pick up the entire coiled hose and carry it in my arms. It's no heavier than the Pocket Hose brand hoses and I think it's actually lighter in weight.
