Answer:	I just went out and measured. It seems to be 3/4" ID. The nice thing about this hose is that it does not crush under normal circumstances. It is quite tough to compress between your thumb and fingers. As for kinking, it resists it quite well. Of course if you try it will kink. When I drag it normally from being rolled up out to its length, I have had no problems. Wait for a couple of years and I can tell you for sure.fch

Answer:	The hose we received is black. We did not select a color or have a choice. I prefer black because a green lifetime hose acquires black mildew and yuck on the outside that is unsightly.

Answer:	No. Its an end cap and unscrews.

Answer:	The water would really have to be loaded with the chemicals you mention. Don't understand rust, rust is from iron. The hose does not cost much so get it a try.

Answer:	Since this is a soaker hose, it doesn't have an end piece like rubber hoses. I can't tell the size, but I suspect it is half-inch. Also, if you need to make ANY angles in the hose at all - the water pressure at the end of 75 feet will be about nil. The shorter ones, in a straight line, are the best bet - just my opinion.

Answer:	Brought this item almost 5 yrs ago, it was not worth the money. Did not last 3 yrs. The more you connect the lower the pressure.

Answer:	The listing says shipping weight is 17 pounds. I just emptied mine (the 75 foot one) of most of the water and weighed it and the result was 18 pounds 9 ounces - probably some water still in. Also the fitting at the faucet end is fairly heavy duty. That's about 4 ounces per foot. Add in just over 2 ounces per foot for the water. So holding a few yards of it off the ground is no bother at all. I have no trouble dragging all 75 feet of it around the yard and it is so flexible I can easily wind it over the wall hanger in large loops without it getting twisted. My wife was able to lug it around too. It is lighter than professional hoses but probably heavier than cheap ones though they give more trouble because of kinking and snagging etc.

Is this a magical hose? the description says it is "manufactured in china" and also "made in usa

Answer:

I have no idea where it was actually manufactured. Most likely parts were made in one place and it was assembled in another. As to the "magic hose," I've never seen one that lives up to the "won't kink" promise but this one is as close as any I've owned. I live in SoCal which means it's never tested by freezing weather but in temps sixty degrees or higher it remains very pliable and I can generally "unkink" it from wherever I happen to be without having to walk 75' back to the problem. All things considered I'd have to tare it a solid thumbs-up and say that I'd buy another if needed. Finally, I want to add that it's VERY important to use plumber's tape around the hose bibb because I did have a problem with the two different types of metals in the bibb and the hose basically welding themselves together so that even my handyman couldn't unscrew it when he was here for other jobs. In the past I've had the identical problem with other hoses both at the bibb AND with the the male end of the hose when attached to a metal nozzle for an extended period of time. I'm told that happens because the source of our water is heavily laden with minerals that interact with the different metals and tape is a lot less expensive than another hose! Hope this helps.

It depends in part on the composition of the soil in the bed. If the soil is loose and sandy, water will tend to just drop straight down so you'll want the hoses close to one another. If the soil is loamy and has a good amount of organic material, you can spread the hoses further apart because the water will be shared laterally better. I tend to put one on either side of each row, an inch or two from the plants.
