Answer:	I bought mine about 5 years ago to help evacuate a flooded yard. The hose combined with a 1/2 HP water pump can really move a lot of water fast. I put an end piece on this hose to filter out the water. The brass filter at the end of the hose added weight to keep the hose in place better. The hose has held up real well through the years. My usage is just residential and serves the purpose. One time, I could have used with a longer piece, but 90% of the time, this did the job. I had to buy a couple of adapters for my water pump/ this hose, but not much money at all. Great hose!
Question:	End size or is it 1.25, to fit standard vac attachments
Answer:	No. You will need adapters on both ends going from 1" garden to standard 0.75" garden, one 1" female to 0.75" male; one 1" male to 0.75" female. You probably won't be able to find 1" garden so use 1" fire hose threads - they are close enough so with standard gaskets they will work. Each costs about $15. I believe I got one from Amazon and goggled the other. Seem stupid Abbott didn't anticipate this and include them with the kit.

Answer:	The ends are definitely 1-inch hose thread. It is difficult to find adapters or couplings to fit these ends. Pipe threads are tapered toward the ends but these are straight. The female end of the hose will easily accept a male pipe thread because the male pipe thread is smaller at the end. However, it will be a loose fit. It can be made tighter by cutting off 1/4 inch of the male pipe thread. The male end will not go much more that 1/8 inch into a female pipe thread. At least it is the same pitch as a pipe thread and could be tapered with a 1-inch pipe thread die or the poor man's version - a 1-inch steel pipe coupling with grooves cut perpendicular to the threads. All considered, might be better to just buy the hose by the foot at HD then put hose barb fitting on.

Question:	Does this hose have good water pressure
Answer:	I found that the pressure was quite good. When I put to hoses end-to-end for length, though the pressure dropped a lot. So as long as you get one as long as you need it should be good.

Answer:	Even though the hose is wrapped by some fabric cover, I think you'd better hang it in the shade. There are a plastic hanger and a storage bag in the package.

Answer:	The cardboard packaging that came with the hose only says "Made In USA". Check the Dramm website and it may tell you where in the USA they are located or a contact number. I have found that this hose does tend to kink more with age - but no more than any other hose. It is definitely excellent quality.
Question:	Will this hose stand up to vehicles running over it? I need a hose that I can run across the road and will withstand an occassional car

Question:	What makes a rubber hose better than vinyl
Answer:	Interesting question! This is new "news" to me. I have double-length hose + nozzle coiled outside on west side of building with some daily sun exposure. So far, no cracking, fading, or kinking but also no direct long-term exposure to hot sun. I'd check with manufacturer in Manitowoc, WI 920/684.0227. Good Luck!
Question:	Has anyone tried storing it in a hose pot? Is it easy to coil? Putting away my current hose after watering is like fighting a cobra
Answer:	This is not a potable water hose. I have two sections here in Washington that have been in service for years and still are excellent. I have one new section on my boat in Hawaii and it seems to be holding up well. Just don't drink out of it. Get a potable water hose and use a filter.
