Answer:	SG, in an effort to avoid sales-y language coming from one of the two brands in question, we'll stick to the overall differences between the two controllers (and leave it to other customers to talk about their own experiences with the B-hyve):- B-hyve can be installed in indoor or outdoor settings, as opposed to Rachio being indoor-only- B-hyve comes in 6- and 12-station models, while Rachio comes in 8- and 16-station models - B-hyve is fully programmable from both the app and at the timer with buttons/screen to make any manual adjustments needed, while Rachio is programmed solely from the app with no controls/screen at the actual timer- Orbit’s B-hyve models typically retail at $100 and $120, while Rachio’s models typically retail at $200 and $250
Question:	How does the smart watering featuring obtain the weather conditions? What service does it use
Answer:	Looked on the Orbit web site, discussion board - lots posted there about this subject: seems there is lots of frustration about Orbit not providing an ETA for google home/assistant compatibility. AND, again, according to Orbit's posts - they are not sure if google home compatibility will be a software upgrade or if WE WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW 2ND GENERATION UNIT.
Question:	How does this compare to Rachio
Answer:	This is a definite yes. You can can control one or several plugs with several devices with smart phones using the Meross app or echo devices with “Alexa commands” or google home control with “ok google commands.” The Meross app allows you to name or rename each device you control. It’s all pretty flexible.
Question:	To the manufacturer (unless someone has inside info): If and when will it be google assistant compatable? If coming soon, I would buy today
Answer:	yes. The device has its own time NTP synchronization cycle, (different devices may be different) generally does not exceed 24 hours. Otherwise it can be powered off - power on immediately

Question:	what if I need more than 12 zones? I need 22. Can I link two controllers together
Answer:	The Netro app is capable of managing multiple controllers. You will need to have at least two "common" wires so that each controller gets one. Question:	Can I schedule it to run every 10 days or 45 days? How long of an interval (not runtime duration) can I set
Answer:	10 days yes, 45 days no. It has 32 day max interval setting with 4 hour run time max. I just verified on my orbit app.
Question:	Is there an adapter available to connect this to a metric fitting/faucet/tap
Answer:	It’s a regular US hose connection so if you can find an adapter for that...
Question:	Can i set the valve to come on at certain times of the day and then go on vacation and have it still run when I'm gone or do I need the wifi adapter
Answer:	It will still work when you are gone, but you would not be able to communicate with it. If you use the WiFi adapter it will be fully functional from wherever you are via the app. With Bluetooth only, you could set it up but once you are far away it would be on its own. Also, with no connection to the internet it would not know the weather. If you set it up (very simple to do) it watches weather forecasts and goes into “rain delay” and does not water if there is rain. It’s a great system and a very easy to use app. When traveling I see it come on and off and do rain delays. I can also turn it on/off anywhere I am, or reset the schedule.
Question:	will this work with smarthings hub or the 12 station bhyve timer
Answer:	I was able to get this to work with 12 station timer. Use the app to connect the smart hose faucet timer via Bluetooth and under device settings add it to the your 12 station bhyve timer group

Question:	Does this work with rain bird sprinkler system
Answer:	Yes, at least with my gen 3, a feature to reduce water hammer will turn on the next zone 10 seconds early allowing no abrupt stop at the end of a zone run. Excerpt from Rachio help: What is Rachio's "Minimize Water Hammer" setting? With this setting, your Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller will open the 'next' scheduled zone to run in a watering schedule, 10 seconds prior to the end time of the current zone that is running.
Question:	Does this have a setting for a delay between zones? The controller i'm replacing does not have this delay,it switches between zones fast, hammers pipe
Answer:	No data port — BUT, it works on both 2.4 and 5Ghz bands of wifi. Works very well and connected very easily. Access point is through a wall about 25 feet away.
Question:	Can it be hard wired from the modem/router with cat5 or 6? no wifi where it would be installed. does it have an ethernet data port
Answer:	Despite the answers above, the answer is YES. You can create a separate schedule just for the zone you desire and make it a fixed schedule. You can turn off all the features and that will make it run even if it’s raining or windy or whatever. Than create schedules for the rest of the zones with all the weather features you like.
Question:	I have a zone that is under cover and never gets rain. Does the Rachio 3 allow for one zone to run regardless of rain while other zones don't
Answer:	Mine had a peel off sheet on the sticky side only. I really wasn't happy with this brand so I ordered custom cut screen protectors from a specialty gaming store for all four of my Vita's for $15 each.

Answer:	This can handle up to 100 psi, but we don't recommend exceeding 85.

Answer:	You can add multiple start times. I do not know,or there is an upper limit to how many.
Question:	Is this the one that supports Apple HomeKit
Answer:	HomeKit compatibility promised at release at beginning of year (2018). As of June 1, 2018, still no HomeKit compatibility. Orbit needs to stop promoting the product based on HomeKit compatiblity until it actual works—and retract all those (fraudulent?) press releases online and wherever else promising HomeKit compatibility.
Question:	How does the WiFi hub connects to the timer? Is there a distance limit between them
Answer:	The timer itself has only bluetooth. The hub bridges the timer with your wifi connection. Distance should be within 50 feet if possible.

Answer:	The wifi sprinkler timer itself can receive signals from the WiFi hub, and it can also send signals. You need to download the RainPoint App first, then pair the WiFi hub, and then pair the timer. When pairing for the first time, the mobile phone, WiFi hub and timer need to be under the same WiFi control. After the pairing is successful, the mobile phone can use other networks to remotely control the timer.

Answer:	Yes, but it’s not intuitive. You have to do a deep dive into the preferences settings. As I recall, there is one of the four programs that is set to weathersense and you have to turn that one off or set it up To behave like a standard channel. It’s been awhile so I don’t remember the details but you can definitely turn it off.
Question:	Dose it come with power supply cord
Answer:	It comes with a 24 volt AC power pack. One of those wall watt power supply. You run low voltage wires from that wall wart to the controller. I was replacing old controller and used the already existing transformer as the 24 VAC is standard for these.

I have one and Alexa can start it to watering or better yet tell me when it will be starting next as well as providing when last watered. I am happy with unit and think it provides good value. Mine is installed in a protected area inside a garage and has replaced a 20 year old electronic timer. This is far superior in convenience. Even if you use manual programs they are far easier to program on this than on the older systems. Smart watering is the way to go though.

Answer:	I don’t see why it couldn’t be. I think the only difference indoor to our door would be the panel look capability. I have not opened mine since installing it as I use the APP on my iPhone to control. The one I replaced was outside so I placed it in the same spot to hide the screw holes. I would call Hunter and check with them to be sure.

The only thing you need to do for setup is to install Yardian and download our APP to your phone (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aeonmatrix.yapp&hl=en). The APP will walk you through the entire setup process. We will be working on the integration with Google Home. It should be available soon.

Answer:	You can assign one "Manual Program" for each zone and you can set up to 24 "start times", thus 24 schedules per zone. The minimum run time is one minute. So yes, you can do all the tasks you need with Yardian.
Question:	Can this be controlled from a website or buttons on unit, or only from phone/app? What happens if Wi-F or phone is not working
Answer:	In additional to app control, we have a web app to control your Yardian as well. The Yardian updates its 7-day schedules "everyday". If Wi-Fi is temporarily down, the Yardian still works without any problem. If your Internet is down for more than 7 days, the same 7-day schedules will be used repeatedly until the internet connection is back.

Answer:	The PRO-HC model I purchased (PHC-600-i) is an indoor model, but Hunter does have an outdoor model PHC-600. The controller is also larger so the mounting holes will need to be different. Otherwise, it's a great controller, easy to setup, and the connection to weather stations in your area is amazing.
