Question:	Does this work with rain bird sprinkler system
Answer:	You will be replacing the rain bird controller with the Rachio. I swapped out my rain bird and it works fine. Just make sure you are labeling each wire with the zone number it is connected to before disconnecting the rain bird. When you connect the Rachio, match the labels and you'll be fine. If you are installing this outdoors, make sure you buy the outdoor housing (sold separately).
Question:	Does this have a setting for a delay between zones? The controller i'm replacing does not have this delay,it switches between zones fast, hammers pipe
Answer:	Yes, at least with my gen 3, a feature to reduce water hammer will turn on the next zone 10 seconds early allowing no abrupt stop at the end of a zone run. Excerpt from Rachio help: What is Rachio's "Minimize Water Hammer" setting? With this setting, your Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller will open the 'next' scheduled zone to run in a watering schedule, 10 seconds prior to the end time of the current zone that is running.
Question:	Can it be hard wired from the modem/router with cat5 or 6? no wifi where it would be installed. does it have an ethernet data port
Answer:	No. The Rachio 3 unit can only be connected via WiFi, though a number of users have asked for direct Ethernet connectivity in future versions.
Question:	I have a zone that is under cover and never gets rain. Does the Rachio 3 allow for one zone to run regardless of rain while other zones don't
Answer:	Despite the answers above, the answer is YES. You can create a separate schedule just for the zone you desire and make it a fixed schedule. You can turn off all the features and that will make it run even if it’s raining or windy or whatever. Than create schedules for the rest of the zones with all the weather features you like.

Answer:	Looked on the Orbit web site, discussion board - lots posted there about this subject: seems there is lots of frustration about Orbit not providing an ETA for google home/assistant compatibility. AND, again, according to Orbit's posts - they are not sure if google home compatibility will be a software upgrade or if WE WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW 2ND GENERATION UNIT.

Answer:	This is a definite yes. You can can control one or several plugs with several devices with smart phones using the Meross app or echo devices with “Alexa commands” or google home control with “ok google commands.” The Meross app allows you to name or rename each device you control. It’s all pretty flexible.

Answer:	If you have completed the wifi setting through the Smart Life APP, it is very easy to set up with Alexa. Please open Amazon Alexa App, choose "Skills" at home page, search “Smart Life”, enable it, now input your Smart Life account information, tap "link now". Then ask alexa to discover device. When discovered, you can give voice command to turn on/ off the valve.
Question:	Have a very tight location to install in. What are the dimensions and required area for turning
Answer:	You need at least 4” of pipe length in order to mount the the device over the valve. You also need 4” above the pipe to accommodate the height of the device.
Question:	Can this control withstand freezing
Answer:	Mine has been subject to freezing temperatures, but not for an extended period. I also coated the circuit board with this, to prevent water damage. MG Chemicals 422B Silicone Modified Conformal Coating, 55 ml Bottle

Answer:	Sorry for replying so late. There is a slight difference in the white of the covers and end caps. The end caps are slightly brighter. I installed them a few days ago and it makes a huge difference in the look of my room. These are a very reasonable priced, metal covers are about double the cost.
Question:	why can't this be used for electric baseboards
Answer:	The heating element within electric baseboard heaters can reach temperatures that may cause the composite material that NeatHeat is made from to soften. If the composite softens it is susceptible to distortion. Also, there are few, if any, electric heater profiles that NeatHeat will properly fit. Without proper fit airflow/convection can be hindered, increasing the probability of the aforementioned distortion.

Answer:	I have a wired rain sensor from my old Hunter control. It can be hooked up to the new control. I decided to not hook it up to the new Hydawise to see how this new one worked. Honestly, you don't need it. By selecting local weather stations that feed information to the Hydrawise, it makes decisions on watering better than having the wired sensor attached. I found that by making certain settings in the program, the control does much better at watering and actually does save water while keeping the grass green. It's a very good unit.
Question:	How many schedules can I set per zone & what is the minimum amount of time? for example can it run Z1 for 5mins every hr, Z2 for 10mins etc
Answer:	No idea. I would guess it would depend on your software and provider.

Answer:	No this unit does not come with a power cord since it can be installed outside and then power run from a power source. You can use an old extension cord as long as the wiring is of the same gauge wiring an then cut off what you need and then connect the two sets of wiring. You can also go to any hardware store and pickup a 3 prong plug that will allow you to connect the wiring from the controller to your power source but in this scenario you may have to purchase additional wiring of the same gauge.

Answer:	Easier manual programming, number of zones total, and appearance. However TM2 can handle, I think, 8 zones out of the box. I also added the Rain Sensor, which is fantastic.

Answer:	This can handle up to 100 psi, but we don't recommend exceeding 85.

Answer:	You can add multiple start times. I do not know,or there is an upper limit to how many.

Answer:	HomeKit compatibility promised at release at beginning of year (2018). As of June 1, 2018, still no HomeKit compatibility. Orbit needs to stop promoting the product based on HomeKit compatiblity until it actual works—and retract all those (fraudulent?) press releases online and wherever else promising HomeKit compatibility.
Question:	How does the WiFi hub connects to the timer? Is there a distance limit between them
Answer:	The timer itself has only bluetooth. The hub bridges the timer with your wifi connection. Distance should be within 50 feet if possible.
