Answer:	I haven't used it for organic fertilizers but as long as the solids are soluble in water, it should work. If they are not soluble, they will likely clog up the spray head.

Answer:	no it will only remove them, find a piece of pipe to fit the ball joint body to drive them back in the strut , or a deep socket , leave the nut on the stud so as not to damage threads

Question:	I have a smith pro contractor backpack sprayer that i bought from costco. will this be compatible with it
Answer:	I have both. The Smith has higher quality components (much more comfortable straps, metal wand). The straps alone are worth the extra money if this is a daily tool (which it is for me). I use the field King for specialty herbicide applications where I don't want to use other backpacks that have cross contamination. Because I only do these specialty applications maybe 5 times a year, I got the cheaper field King because it sits on the shelf most of the time. So basically it comes down to frequency of use IMO. If you use it a lot, just get the Smith. If it's light duty use, the Field King should serve you well
Question:	Will this work with any standard hand pump spray
Answer:	Unfortunately diesel would not work in this sprayer as diesel is very hard on seals. We suggest the Smith Performance Stainless Steel Sprayer with Viton Extreme seals. Question:	Will this work with a FlowZone backpack sprayer
Answer:	Simply set the sprayer up on a work bench or anything that is approximately 36" high. Stoop down as much as needed (depending on how tall you are) then back into the sprayer and slide the shoulder straps over your shoulders and stand up and buckle the straps. I just use the lower strap only. I don't use the upper strap because the shoulder pads are wide enough that they don't fall off my shoulders. Hope this helps. John Smith

Answer:	No pressure regulator; however, you pump the handle about 5 or 6 times to build pressure in the tank. You then pump every 6 or 8 seconds to maintain an even pressure. The spray is released at a constant rate as long as you maintain your pump action and therefore, a relatively even pressure in the tank. I have sprayed about 50 acres over past couple years with herbicide for individual plant treatment with excellent results.

Answer:	I have actually only used this sprayer once. It seems to me that it will spray about 10 feet or more. It may be able to go more if a different tip is selected but I only used one. It also depends on how much pressure you maintain.

Answer:	Yes the NL-403 does come with a spray tip. It's made of brass and has 4 orifices to choose from, depending on what you're spraying. Recently purchased this sprayer and was surprised to find that the spray nozzle included in the kit did not include an adjustable fan type nozzle that has been included in other hand held prayers, which allows the user to adjust the spray pattern by turning the tip of the nozzle to the desired spay pattern.

Answer:	That question can be answered by the label of the product used. But in most cases it is never a good idea to allow any active ingredient sit in a container. It loses effectiveness and many products will solidify or gum up the sprayer. Especially one with a professional B&G tip like this one.

For each side, remove the small plastic clips from the two shoulder strap loops and thread each loop through the slots at the top of the carry handle. Replace the clips through the loops and pull strap securing the two shoulder straps in place.

To install lower end of the straps, remove strap from top portion of buckles and place around the foot stand, starting from underneath.

Unscrew cap from tank.

Step 2

Remove filter basket. Then reach into the tank and turn the pressure chamber 1/4 turn

counterclockwise to unlock the chamber from the pump. Then remove chamber from tank.

Remove and replace o-ring, then lubricate with petroleum jelly.

Step 3

Unsnap agitator from piston rod. Remove from tank.

Step 4

Position pump handle to the furthest downward position, then remove.

Step 5

Disassemble carry handle by removing the screws.

Step 6

Remove cotter pin and lift pivot clip off of the piston rod.

Step 7

Pull upward to slide piston rod out of pump.

Step 8

While holding onto the pump, use an adjustable wrench to unthread pump nut from pump. Remove nut, hose and barb assembly.

Step 9

Inspect o-rings on barb assembly. If damaged, replace hose assembly.

Step 10

Remove pump out of tank. Remove and replace gasket.

Step 11

Slide piston rod assembly down and out of grommet and remove from tank.

Step 12

Carefully remove, replace, and lubricate (with petroleum jelly) the piston o-ring.

Step 13

Remove grommet from tank using pliers to grasp the head of the grommet while flexing the grommet out of the hole in the tank. Press or tap new grommet into tank. Lubricate hole in grommet with petroleum jelly.

Step 14

Insert piston rod assembly into tank and through grommet.

Step 15

Reassemble pump with gasket into tank (pay close attention to the orientation above). Tighten pump nut securely with adjustable wrench while holding pump to maintain correct orientation. Push piston assembly into pump.

Step 16

Attach pivot clip to piston rod and insert hitch pin. Note orientation of piston rod must match the pivot clip.

Step 17

Reassemble carry handle onto tank. Tighten all screws.

Step 18

To reinstall the agitator, line the notch up on the agitator with the swedge on piston rod and snap into place.

Step 19

Reinstall pressure chamber into the pump by aligning the tabs on the chamber with the slots in the pump. Push firmly into pump and turn clockwise until pump stops.

Reinstall the strainer and tank cap.

Question:	Will these tips fit my Decks&More 2 gallon pump sprayer
Answer:	If your sprayer leaks a lot, the pesticide may soak into the strap material and onto your shirt or run down to your pants. From my experience with several professional backpack sprayers, they have all leaked from cap; the cap's rubber gasket doesn't produce a leakproof seal; even my new replacement caps leak. I protect myself by wrapping/tying a disposable towel around the cap to soak up any leaks to prevent it from getting onto my clothing. However, this is the most comfortable/durable strap that I've used. I don't believe the purpose of this strap is protect you from leaks.
Question:	Will this fit the Smith t100v hand pump
Answer:	Connection to the pack will be different, you will probably have to rig it up yourself. I would used straps designed for the pack in this case. I used these for a tree stand and they are great but they are stiff. Great for protecting ur back from a metal stand but will not move the same on a pack. Just my $0.02

Answer:	It has a pressure regulator, but I think of it more as a no drip regulator that prevents the the spray that remains in the wand from dripping if the pressure gets below 25 psi. It also ensures a clean spray pattern as most nozzles don't do a good job of dispersing the spray below that pressure.

The 4 Gallon Professional Backpack Sprayer is capable of producing up to 60 psi, with a high-performance connecting rod-actuated diaphragm pump system. The diaphragm is made of top quality material for its resistance to harsh chemicals, including bleach and for its long life expectancy. Note:It takes initially at least 20 – 22 pumps of the handle to fully pressurize the sprayer.  Once pressurized, the user can spray for approximately 1 minute before the pressure starts to drop.  Pumping the handle 4 – 5 times will bring the sprayer back to full pressure.  As the pump handle attaches to threaded pump shaft with two cap screws, there is no need for locking nuts to secure the pump handle.

Answer:	Yes indeed. On the drum panel that is opposite the door, there is an aerator. When you turn the drum so that the aerator vent is pointed down, the 'compost tea' will drip out.

Answer:	Each time you add more compostables to a compost bin, it restarts the composting clock. We recommend that you load in all the organic green and brown compostable material you can, then let it cook. Give it a few turns daily. In several weeks you'll have finished compost.
