DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO USE HYDRO MOUSSE:



Step 1: PREPARE THE AREA BEFORE PLANTING Remove debris, dead grass, lossen top layer of soil, moisten with water



Step 2: PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT With an EMPTY canister, connect the nozzle to the canister and your garden hose and simply water your lawn to get a feel of how Hydro Mousse canister works.



Step 3: KNOW YOUR COVERAGE AREA The Hydro Mousse System comes with enough seed and additive to treat 100 square feet; that is a 10 foot by 10 foot area.



Step 4: PLANTING TIME Pour the entire bag of grass seed and mousse additive into the canister. With the dial in the off position, connect the hose and turn on the water. Turn the dial to light seed, and fill the canister 3 quarters full of water, then turn the water off for at least 30 seconds to allow proper coating of the seeds. When you are ready, turn the water back on and start seeding the area you want to treat. Turn the unit on/off as you move through your lawn.



Step 5: WATERING AND GROWING YOUR NEW LAWN Water your newly seeded area 2-3 times a day, keeping the soil moist for the first 14 days. It takes between 7-14 days for the seeds to germinate and up to 30 days for full growth coverage.

Answer:	It's almost half the price until they charge you extra shipping. I purchased the double offer as on TV for $19.95 from the website. Many pages of "please buy more", and the web version of "but wait!", they added $7.95 shipping. "Because they care about the environment", we received what amounted to be the size of a quart Ziploc bag 3/4 full of seed. On the invoice, they informed us also that the double offer was in one bag. :/

Answer:	I think the reason this "sticks" to any surface is that the seeds are part of a "mousse" mixture. If you are adding your own seeds to the mixture, then you could, but if you want to reuse the device just to spread your own seeds, then I don't think they will stick to surfaces. This product did an ok job and grass did grow on some slopes where seeds wouldn't stick before, but the grass is not very "sturdy" and seems to not have deep roots.

Answer:	Fall is always a good time to plant grass.....However, i would not purchase this product. It took 7 weeks for delivery. Mine came incomplete, and it comes with with very little grass seed. I got a credit from Amazon, but never heard from the vendor. I still have the product because I have never received a return label. Answer:	If this product contacts those dandelion when sprayed, you should see evidence of those weeds dying after 5 to 10 days. Give it a few more days; but, if you get no results, Scotts will refund or replace.

Answer:	It is probably not the best choice. The active herbicide only works on actively growing plants, and should not affect anything that is dormant. The fertilizer mix is intended for newly planted grass. If you are growing new grass and have actively growing weeds , then it's perfect for the winter. If you are South of New Orleans, this could be sensible. I plan to use it to kill active broadleaf weeds and hope to give some bahia a hard time when it wakes up. I will overseed hybrid bluegrass to the shaded areas of a mixed centipede/st augustine/sand spur lawn. Technically, it's winter in February... It also just hit 75 degrees, and our soil temp is headed north of 55. Most people call that spring.

Answer:	Apparently is only a preventer, I had to kill crab grass before applying this. Crab grass is very strong, maybe it can kill other weaker weeds.

Answer:	Hello,Great question. This is a plant nutritional product. As soon as you grass intakes it will start using the nutrients where it is needed most. Sometimes root, sometimes vertical, sometimes lateral. Visual may not be evident immediately but uptake will occur within several days. For visual or measured growth it take varying times in warmer weather will be faster, in cooler weather will be slower, in sunny conditions will be faster and when adequate water is in soil will be faster. Growth will occur before the visual eye notices. You should notice a healthier grass within a few days. Making grass grow where none exists can only happen if there is grass seed in that area or if the grass is a crawling variety. If it is a crawling variety it will grow as long as the soil that is bare does not have a condition that caused the bare spot in the first place such as a PH irregularity, chemical spill, salt issue, or disease.
Question:	If i'm going to apply liquid weed killer (ortho) to my lawn should i apply it before or after booster and how long of an interval should i wait
Answer:	You should apply before the Booster and wait at least 7-10 days before the Booster. Keep in mind once the booster is applied it will help intensify the results of the weed killer but you want to give the weed killer at least 7-10 days before applying nutrients. MIXING TIME: Covington Grass Paint is best applied with a pump sprayer. The amount of concentrate needed to match your grass color will vary based on grass type and the shade of green you are aiming for. For dull/light green test mixing 4-6 oz. of concentrate per gallon of water and for brown dormant grass test a little more concentrate around 8-10 oz. per gallon.



PRO TIP: Always take a before and after picture. Make sure your lawn is completely dry. Product stains when dry. Wet concrete and stonework that may be susceptible to overspray prior to application. Use a cardboard box as a edge to get a straight line and protect from overspray. If overspray occurs, rinse asap and use a hard bristle brush and warm soapy water to remove. Don't apply prior to rain.

Answer:	Jerry, If I'm understanding your question. I would only use it attached to your hose pipe as the directions indicate and if so then yes you can spray it directly on your grass. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I use it once every 6-8 weeks, no weeds and green grass!
Question:	Should this be applied after overnight temps are above freezing
Answer:	You should wait till temps are above freezing and more importantly until dandelions etc. are coming up to spray, this is after all weed and feed. If you spray before emergence of dandelions you won't kill them.
Question:	Can I spray weed and feed directly
Answer:	This needs to be connected to a hose. They do not give an amount to dilute this, as if it were other concentrated sprays.

Step 1:

Shake container well before using. Connect a garden hose to the sprayer nozzle. Make sure switch is fully forward in the "off" position.

Step 2:

Turn on water at faucet. Extend hose to the farthest area to be treated and work back toward the faucet so you don't come in contact with the treated area.

Step 3:

To begin spraying, point nozzle toward treatment site and pull switch backwards towards hose connection. Water will automatically mix with the product. Spray until wet to control listed insects and lawn diseases. Walk at a steady pace, working back toward the faucet while spraying, using an even sweeping motion, slightly overlapping treated areas.

Step 4:

To stop spraying, push switch forward toward nozzle. Turn water off at faucet. To relieve pressure before removing nozzle from hose, pull switch backwards towards hose connection until water stops spraying.

To store unused product, make sure switch is fully forward in the “off” position. Place in cool area away from heat, sunlight or open flame.

Answer:	Hydrophobic fluids need a stabilizer, you can’t have pure hydrophobic extract... look at any of the other providers that use hydrophobic extract of neem oil and it will be a 70%/30% mix! If you want 100% neem oil, the product won’t be an extract and the instructions will tell you that you have to add dish soap + only to mix up what can be used immediately

Answer:	Good question. I just got mine and checked. It has 70% and 30% other ingredients and I can't see what the 'other' ingredients are right now. But it does stare that it is for organic gardening. However, I will be looking for some that is a 100% neem oil in future. Thanks for the intelligent question. I wonderered why it mixes so easily with water. The good thing is it only takes 2 table spoons to the gallon and seems to be doing the job it states it will.

Answer:	Bonnie the Neem oil doesn't appear to kill Japaneese beetles. We have the beetles and we spray the plants but they keep eating the plants. The only thing that seems to work is to pull the beetles off and step on them. I hope this is hepful.
