Question:	Are there any plastic pieces on this sprayer at all
Answer:	I would say yes, Tom. It's made with special seals that can withstand even solvent-based concrete sealer so deck sealer and the solvent you use for cleaning up will be no problem. I really like mine. It sprays a nice wide pattern, which covers much better than my plastic sprayer. It's quality-built and is commercial rated.
Question:	Will this unit successfully spray gasoline for an extended amount of time
Answer:	19049 seems, from the description, to be more resistant to strong solvents. Also comes with two nozzles instead of one. I think main difference is that 1949 has been discontinued by manufacturer. I have had no problem with the 1949 as a garden and fruit tree sprayer.

Answer:	Hi, the replacement o-ring for the 1949 Chapin Industrial Sprayer is part number 6-2421. This is also included in the pump seal kit 6-4627. Question:	Can this be used to spray laquer concrete sealer(glaze 'n seal 1 gal. clear wet look green concrete and masonry lacquer sealer
Answer:	I'm not sure, but what I do know is that this industrial sprayer is designed to use corrosive type chemicals. It is metal and has a coating inside to prevent deterioration from the chemicals. If you are wanting to spread a soap solution to a deck, a cheaper one would work well for applying the solution, then it is to be hosed away. A garden hose should remove light dust .

Question:	would the seals in this withstand a steady diet of #2 diesel
Answer:	Yes, the black 'pump' insert is plastic, and the black hose outside of the sprayer is thin black rubber. Overall its a great sprayer, just not quite as heavy duty as the red chapin units.
Question:	What would be a good cone nozzle to use for applying stain to concrete? Ideally the nozzle will have an even application. Other brands are ok too
Answer:	This will spray almost any thin liquid, but gasoline MAY not be good for the unit since some of the internal parts are made of plastic. As to how long it will spray; I am not sure how long an "extended amount of time" is. I know the fuller the tank, the shorter amount of time between pumps. Several minutes of spraying is possible, but this won't replace a carburetor.
Question:	Can this sprayer accommodate and spray boiling water, or would water at boiling temperature damage the components
Answer:	There are several differences between the 1480 and 1949. The 1480 has a funnel style top and the pump has a plastic barrel with nitrile seals. The 1949 has a wide mouth opening and features a pump with a brass barrel, Viton seals and an industrial hose with brass fittings. Answer:	No, the diesel will eat up the hose. The stainless steel will last the longest but it too will eventually corrode.

Answer:	Hi K Dawg. This sprayer works best for sealing concrete, and comes with fan nozzles instead of cone nozzles. We don't recommend this sprayer for staining concrete. Depending on the stain you are using, we have sprayers that can give you an even application with a cone nozzle. If the stain is acid based, we recommend the 22240XP. Answer:	The sprayer comes with only 2 nozzles .0.5 gpm and 1.0 gpm. Neither are suitable for thin fluids like sealer. If you call Chapin, they may offer other choices. AFASIK there is no adjustable spray pattern/flow rate nozzle available.A generic adjustable nozzle may work?

Answer:	Works like what? Do you want to break the tiles or remove the tiles? If yes, it doesn’t work for that job.

Answer:	That’s hard to say without a gauge. But it can be pumped up a lot more then other plastic type sprayers I believe they may sale a sprayer with a gauge or one with a valve stem where it can be filled with air or pumped by hand then using a tire gauge check the pressure. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I bought this unit to spray dry wall mud on the ceiling and walls, so I could texture the finish look. Did not use it I roll it on wet with a thick roller.

Answer:	It’s not necessarily the horsepower rating that makes a difference, it’s the CFM rating of the compressor. i’ve been using a six CFM compressor and I’ve done over 6000 ft.² of stucco and it works great. you could even get away with a 4 CFM compressor, but you have to wait for the compressor to catch up and build up enough air between spray intervals.

Answer:	Yes... I use mine with vinegar and salt with a touch of water. It works fine.you need to rinse it out very well afterwards though or it will rust out the springs in the wand.

Answer:	I don't know if an adapter exists, but I will say that the finest setting is not a mist, but it is a pretty fine and wide spray. Much closer to a mist than the other sprayer in this price range I tried.

Answer:	Sounds like a question for Dr Drew...but I'll give it a go. Here's what I'd test....Put a bit of WATER in the container and assemble everything, then pump the handle just a FEW times. Then SLOWLY unscrew where the hose connects to the container, does air escape? If not, then either there's an issue with THAT seal, there's an issue with the pump:container seal, or there's an issue with the pump itself. If air does escape, then screw it back on and pump it once. Then unscrew the spray nozzle tip all the way and pull the trigger, does air/water escape? If so, then there was an issue with the nozzle being too tight. If not, then the tube or nozzle are likely clogged and then take an air car with the little included hose and open the trigger then spray the air into the tube to clean out the system, then from the nozzle side. Does this fix it?
Question:	Will this work with diesel based chemicals like remedy for spraying on brush
Answer:	I use this sprayer with straight white vinegar and about 1 teaspoon of dish soap. I haven't tried it with Epson salt but I will tell you that the vinegar and soap solution kills weeds that I haven't been able to control before (namely Oxalis). It hasn't hurt the sprayer.

Answer:	The viton extreme series seems to stand up against diesel pretty well. The liner will eventually fail. The stainless 19069 Chapin is a better choice but, please keep in mind the spraying diesel fuel is illegal according to the diesel police....

Answer:	Most applications of dye any tip will suffice. THE .5 gpm works best with real thin liquids. The 1.0 gpm works better with acrylics. My favorite Chapin tip is the 6-000 adjustable tip.
