Answer:	Felco is one of the finest pruner made. I have been a professional gardener for 42 years. You may need to slightly loosen the locking screw on the thumb lock. You should have received a tool for doing this with your Felco pruner. You can oil any part of the pruner. If you prune shrubs or trees with a lot of sap, you should clean the sap build on the blades every few hours with a light sand paper and sharpen the blade with a Felco blade sharpener. If you sharpen on a regular basis it will only take a few seconds. Sometimes, like every few months, the pruner should be takin apart and sanded in between moving parts and oiled. I use WD40.

My Corona are disposed of after receiving the Felco as the Corona has far inferior steel in the blade where it counts the most. The Corona also uses far to many delrin or plastic parts that fall apart in modest use. As mentioned by others, using a Felco lopper for the larger stems is a wise decision.

I owned my last pair for over 30 years and last year the screw that holds these shears together finally loosened up and rather than send them in under the warranty, because they still cut fine, I decided to get a second pair. They are worth the money and I highly recommend them!

Answer:	I bought these in August 2019 on Amazon and the tool is not marked where it is made but the box clearly says "Made in Vietnam". I do like the tool but would prefer that ARS would make all of their tools in Japan of the best materials possible which I believe would produce a even better tool instead of cutting corners and having other countries make them to save money. Quality and performance is most important and ARS Japanese made tools are one of the best.

Answer:	NO its a fixed length at 37 inches. But still a great tool !

Answer:	The pole is about 16-18 inches long, i think they are perfect for that! Depending on how tall the grapes are growing you might need a step ladder if on a flat surface. They are like your hand shears but with a long reach. They are small and detailed enough for smaller vines but can cut pretty thick vines too. Use the foam grip along the pole, it slides along pole so you can control and guide where you want to cut better than just holding in one hand. You can take the grippers on the blades of with a small long screw driver to get more of a detailed prune, i take my off all the time. Good luck! Ask if any more questions!

Answer:	I doubt it. I can only cut things that I would otherwise cut with scissors. They work fine for cutting grass and grass-like leaves but not much else.

Answer:	It depends on your height and the length of your arms. Obviously if there are unilock walls or mounds under the tree you will be reaching farther. It is only for the smaller branches not the thicker ones of the 3/4" thickness. You can always use a step stool or a ladder to get way up and to the middle of the tree.

Answer:	The orange handle on the shaft slides up and down to work the shears. When the pole saw is fully expanded and the orange handle is out of reach, there is real strong nylonish-type cable attached to handle t pull for easy operation of the shears. I find that this gives me more flexibility in my posture which is important when using for extended periods of time. This particular Fiskars tool is awesome = in my opinion the best "medium duty" pole pruner, by far for these reasons. Question:	Where can I get a replacement strap for my Fiskars 9240 telescoping pruning stick
Answer:	I sent them a request for a replacement strap for my 9240 because it frayed at the end entering the pole when fully extended. I also sent a picture. To my surprise they sent me a new one. Question:	What is the largest sized branch which can be cut with the pruning shear
Answer:	The pruner blades measure about 1-1/8" apart so it should do up to 1" as stated in the specs. I've cut about 3/4" branches with no issues.

Answer:	There are two main types. Bipass and anvil. In bipass the blades pass each other in the cutting action. The anvil sort has one 'blade' that does not move and has has no sharp edge. The cutting blade therefore only reaches as far as the static blunt section. This type is more suited to cutting strong and wooden stems. The other type to more delicate material.
