Answer:	These are actually made of a resin, not plastic (other than I think the legs and the tray insert separating the soil from the water, so they should last. I have had 3 outdoors all year long for 2-3 years now and they are doing fine. I live in Northern CA, so I get a lot of sun and temps could also dip down into the 30's, at times. I love these. Beats wood any day of the week. They are nice looking and don't look like cheap plastic. I have shown several neighbors on my street and several have bought 2-3 of them and are enjoying them as much as I. SUPER simple to put together. I've grown flowers and veggies (everything from lettuce to bell peppers to eggplant to spinach and broccoli - even carrots - with great success. One tip - and when I heard this, it made SOOOO much sense! I put a bucket under the spigot and capture the water - the "tea" and I use it to re-water. The water has all of the nutrients from the soil and I can tell you, what a difference in the end resulting veggies. They LOVE it.
Question:	I recently bought this, but I don't know how to use the watering feature. Do I fill it with water first, then add the soil? Does it get stagnant
Answer:	There seems to be a common misconception that the water indicator is for telling you when to water but it's the opposite. The indicator is a warning that tells you when there's too much water. This is mainly useful if the planter is outdoors in an area it gets rain. With the drain plug closed, there's no where for water to go and no way to tell how much water is in the planter without the indicator. The indicator is just floating foam in a hollow tube that runs the depth of the planter. For most people it shouldn't really move much at all under normal use. If you see red there is too much water in the planter and the roots might be submerged. This can cause root rot and outside of an oxygen rich hydroponic setup is bad for plants. Technically the roots might eventually hit the reservoir itself and get water from it, but that is not the intended purpose. Bottomline: if you see red on the indicator open the drain plug until you don't. Otherwise, water like any other planter. The indicator does not tell you when you need to water.

By the way, the Aquaphor baby wash description on the front of the bottle says that it has chamomile essence in it, but where is the chamomile in that ingredients list? I don't know a lot about skincare product ingredients, so maybe it's on that list somewhere, hidden behind a generic-sounding chemical name. The reason I wonder about the "chamomile essence" is that I sometimes have a skin rash to chamomile, so I try to avoid it in products if I can, or I patch test carefully before using a skincare product all over my body. I don't see any mention of "chamomile" on the Eucerin bottle, so it must be in the bisabolol, since it's definitely not in the sea salt (ha ha). I'll look that name up... and yes, wikipedia says that 'Bisabolol... is a colorless viscous oil that is the primary constituent of the essential oil from German chamomile.' I am glad to know that, and I'll put bisabolol on my personal list of ingredients I need to avoid. So it sounds like the choice between the two comes down to having chamomile oil be one of the main moisturizers in the product (the Aquaphor version), or shea butter (the Eucerin version).

Answer:	My husband uses the 7.5” laying down though since his surgery. I’m looking at it and it seems like it would be almost straight up in a vertical position. I would think the 12” would let you sit up but give slightly more recline which would be more comfortable

One person in the reviews section even received a pillow that still had the complaint note from the previous customer, which means they are reselling used pillows as new one; hopefully they didn't have head lice.

Answer:	Hi Billy. I have 3 of these raised beds. Love them and will get more. Right now we have 2 that have 8 milkweed plants in each (We raise monarch butterflies). The bed could probably accommodate a couple more plants. We have also grown Romaine and Bibb lettuce with a couple rows of scallions or green onions. We crowded the lettuce a bit (10 or so plants) because we like to cut it young and tender. (If you cut it 2+ inches above the soil line, it will come out again!) Another hint: Use light soil or add perlite and it really helps to add a few screws to hold the bottom side boards.

Answer:	I would DEFINITELY seal (weather treat) this bed BEFORE using it. Even untreated decent wood should make it an entire season without obvious signs of rot or warping - but it won't last nearly as long as if it's treated. Treat the outside and inside and then staple plastic sheeting to the inside to keep the chemical in the sealer out of your soil. Also add a few drain hole to the bottom of the plastic.

These kits are made of unfinished wood so you'd want to put a coat of clear stain on them, as I've done to withstand, to a significant degree, the damp, snow, wet, and continual weather changes. like everything organic that is subjected to such climatic conditions these will eventually 'break down', despite our best efforts. You can, as you suggest, take them apart and store them each year, away from the winter elements, and in that way, you'd considerably extend their useful lives. Good suggestion!

Answer:	The legs are about 2" x 2". I was able to put 1 1/2" casters and it works well.
