10 best food plot for deers
Food memoirs are a genre of literature that combines elements of autobiography, travelogue, and culinary exploration. These books typically focus on a writer's personal experiences with food, often intertwined with their cultural and regional backgrounds. Food memoirs can provide readers with insights into the author's relationship with food, their culinary adventures, and the cultural significance of various dishes and ingredients.
Here are a few notable food memoirs that have gained popularity:
"Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert: While not exclusively a food memoir, this book chronicles the author's journey of self-discovery through Italy, India, and Indonesia. The Italian section, in particular, is rich with descriptions of food and the joy of eating.
"Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain: This memoir by the late celebrity chef and television host delves into the behind-the-scenes world of the restaurant industry. Bourdain's candid and sometimes gritty storytelling gives readers a glimpse into the culinary underbelly.
"Blood, Bones & Butter" by Gabrielle Hamilton: Chef Gabrielle Hamilton's memoir explores her journey from a chaotic childhood to becoming the owner of the acclaimed restaurant Prune in New York City. It reflects on her relationship with food and the challenges of running a restaurant.
"My Life in France" by Julia Child: This memoir by the famous American chef recounts her experiences in France, where she discovered her love for French cuisine and embarked on a culinary journey that ultimately led to her becoming a culinary icon.
"The Apprentice: My Life in the Kitchen" by Jacques Pépin: Renowned chef Jacques Pépin shares his life story, from growing up in France to his culinary training and his career in the United States. This memoir provides insights into the world of professional cooking.
"A Year in Provence" by Peter Mayle: While not strictly a food memoir, this book is a delightful account of the author's experiences when he and his wife moved to the Provence region of France. It offers vivid descriptions of the food and wine of the region.
"Tender at the Bone" by Ruth Reichl: Renowned food writer Ruth Reichl shares her culinary adventures and the impact of food on her life, including her early experiences with her family's eccentric cooking.
Food memoirs can be both entertaining and enlightening, offering readers a window into the cultural, emotional, and personal aspects of food. They often celebrate the power of food to connect people, evoke memories, and tell stories about our lives.

Biologic's DEER-RADISH is a blend of two different varieties of radishes and a small percentage of New Zealand Brassica and can be planted by itself or added to Biologic seed blends to further increase attraction. Through our research we’ve determined Biologic's DEER-RADISH’s are among some of the most attractive food plots available. Whitetails love the highly nutritious forage and the long, sweet, nutrient packed roots making this plant 100% consumable. Biologic's DEER-RADISH creates one of the most attractive food plots available. When to Plant: DEER-RADISH is very hardy and will germinate in drier conditions than other common food plot crops; however, there must be some soil moisture available. Soil moisture is more critical than temperature. Plant early August in the North, and early September in the South. ?How to Plant: DEER-RADISH is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seed bed at 8lbs per acre. If possible use a cult packer to help cover the seed and ensure good seed to soil contact. Broadcasting the see on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to a rain also produces an excellent stand as the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4 inch) and ensures adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed, as it will bury the seed too deep to allow germination. DEER-RADISH can be used to top-dress existing clover stands, adding several tons of nutritious forage during the fall. A mechanical grain drill is also an excellent method of planting.
From the Manufacturer
BioLogic's DEER-RADISH can be planted by itself or added to BioLogic seed blends to further increase attraction. As an added benefit, the deep penetrating roots help bust through tough hard pans and help rejuvenate soils. Through our research we've determined BioLogic's DEER-RADISHES are among some of the most attractive food plots available. Whitetails love the highly nutritious forage and the long sweet, nutrient packed roots making this plant 100% consumable. Radishes produce glycosinolate compounds, which can reduce weeds and nematodes and are an excellent choice for claiming new soil to your food plot program without having to use excessive glyphosate based products. BioLogic's DEER-RADISH creates one of the most attractive food plots available.

Sugar Beet 1 Lbs First Quality Non-GMO Sugar Beet Seeds Current Test Data Shown on Packet Exclusive OrOlam Seeds Bulk Seed is Excellent for Immediate Planting or for Long Term Storage as an Emergency Seed About The Sugar Beet In the mid 18th century, a German chemist by the name of Andreas Margraff found that the chemical composition of beets included sucrose similar to that of sugar cane. Sugar cane provided the only source for sugar at that time; consequently, the prices of sugar rose very high because of the necessity of importing it from foreign countries. Franz Karl Achard, one of Margraff's students, continued the research and brought the sugar beet into production for a source of sugar; for his pioneering efforts, he is called the father of the sugar beet industry. When the supply of sugar cane was lost because of war time, Napoleon declared that the sugar beet be grown in large amounts to provide sugar. This established commercial use of the sugar beet, and eventually it grew in almost every country.

User questions & answers
Question: | Square foot coverage per pound |
Answer: | If by 'bulk pack' you mean the 32 oz bag (there were six in the order I received), the "Best By" date - not an expiration date - was nine months out from the date I received the cereal. My order arrived in March 2017, the Best By date is January 2018. |
Question: | is there any way to verify that these are non-GMO seeds |
Answer: | Thank you for your inquiry. We unfortunately are unable to provide expiration dates as we are a food service distributor that constantly rotates inventory as it is sold. Per Amazon's policy we are able to guarantee at least 60 days, unless it is yogurt or dairy as those normally have a shorter shelf life. If you have any other questions please feel free to write back or call. |
Question: | Are these seeds pellitized |
Answer: | I knew I had to worry about mercury in my fish, fluoride in my water, pesticides on my produce, and smog in my air. But I did not know about microplastics in my salt. Thank goodness now I'm aware. I took a handful of this delicious, mildly spicy, mildly sweet cereal, with crisp flakes that stand up well to milk (sourced from local cows who live wherever they want to and are asked permission to be milked and fairly compensated for their time and effort) and meticulously broke it down element by element, to the molecular level, until I got to the subatomic salt particles. All I saw was healthy, mineral-rich sea salt. The tasty turmeric, however, had a shocking amount of negative vibes that I'm now concerned about. Darn. This *was* my favorite cereal.... |
Question: | Are there filler seeds or are they all sugar beets |
Answer: | Most products have at least one website that shows nutrition facts. I Googled the product name along with the word "nutrition" and found this web page: http://us.naturespath.com/product/heritager-flakes |

Specially-Selected Blend of Annuals
PowerPlant's blend of specially-selected annuals overcomes the two main problems with bean and pea planting for deer: 1) declining palatability, and 2) short stem life.
Forage Components
A true, forage-type vining soybean and climbing forage peas are very attractive to deer and provide huge amounts of protein. Sunn Hemp provides an additional food source and helps tolerate heavy grazing.
The Lattice
Sunn Hemp and sunflowers act as a lattice for the legumes to climb, maximizing production. This keeps growth off the ground, letting PowerPlant grow into a tall, thick foliage that attracts deer both as a food source and as a bedding area.
Antler-Building Protein
Designed to provide high protein and massive tonnage during the antler growing, fawning and lactating times of late spring and summer.
