Answer:	According to the the instructions, the top and bottom rails should ideally be mounted to studs, 16" on center. The center vertical bracket should be also attached to the center stud. The outside brackets are mounted not to studs, but 18" OC using wall anchors. The outside brackets could be mounted wider—the wire shelving should have no more than 6" overhang outside the brackets—but you'll have to watch the spacing of the wires in the shelves. 18" OC allows for the shelf supports to line up with the gaps between the wires so that the shelves will lock in place.

Answer:	We used a sawsall. Wire cutters did not work.

Answer:	yes. The ledge keeps shoes, etc from sliding off.

Answer:	The included shelves are 4 ft long. I cut them to fit. I had less than 3.5 ft (width) to work in. Fairly easy to cut with a hacksaw. Works absolutely fine.

Question:	What type of grass is this? I want thick vs the thin wispy stuff
Answer:	No--this is metal, actually copper, with a glass flask. But note that in mine, the handle and neck collar--which are welded to the body-- came apart in just under a year. It may be that copper retains heat way too efficiently. Thermos--which owns and distributes Alfi in the USA--provided me with a replacement--the classic Alfi Juwel, a model that may be less dramatic but is definitely better constructed.

Answer:	It could be possible, however it does not provide a nice flat base to set the plastic filter cone.

Question:	does the package come air sealed? I use a forwarder and it takes a week to arrive
Answer:	Yes, each bag is sealed. I doubt the outside box was air-sealed, but the seeds should do fine even with the extra week. The bags are sturdy and resealable. I have a wood planter so I use one whole bag for each planting. But I planted the grass at least 3 months ago and it's still green, lush and completely filled in. Not so with just the winter wheat seeds. You could go to the Cat Ladies site and ask them. I bought the first bag from Amazon but now buy through their site - costs the same and they keep the profits.
Question:	My cat doesn't have any teeth. Will he be able to enjoy this
Answer:	I really don't know. It would be a good experiment. If your cat has no teeth, it would be hard for it to grasp and tear the grass. It may try but how successfully??? My cat likes it to get rid of hairballs. Which means she vomits the grass and hopefully brings up hairballs that need to be gotten rid of. You could give your cat a thick mineral oil gel-like substance that would serve the same purpose. There are some tubs of ready to grow grass that would probably be a good initial try to see if your cat could handle it. And it is cheaper than a full bag of seeds that you could have left over. I really like these seeds but my cat has teeth and loves the grass, so I grow it every couple of weeks.
Question:	Do I cut this? Or just let it go
Answer:	I was wondering the same thing....I'm just gonna let it go! My indoor cats seem to enjoy rubbing on it as much as they are enjoying eating the stuff.

PLANTING INSTUCTIONS AND CARE:

Seeding Your New Lawn - March and April are the best planting months, but quicker germination will occur during May, June and July when the soil is warmer.

🌱 No Gemination of early plantings can be expected until soil temperatures become 70° F or Higher and the soil is kept consistently moist for 2-3 weeks.

🌱 Since cold will kill young seedlings, planting should be done no later than the end of August in Florida and coastal areas, early August in the mid-south and early July in the upper South.

🌱 Mix Centipede Grass Seed with dry sand at approximately one pound Centipede Grass Seed to 25 pounds of sand and hand scatter.

🌱 Mix into the upper one-half inch of soil by vigorous but light raking with a regular steel-tooth rake. Little germination can be expected from seed left on top of the soil, and seed buried more than one-half inch deep will not germinate. A roller will not embed the seed sufficiently for good germination.

🌱 On sloping areas where there is potential for serious water erosion, you may wish to mulch lightly with straw, distributed thinly to allow the seedling to emerge from the cover.

Question:	Do you recommend fertilizing before/after adding the seeds? if so, how much fertilizer (n/p/k
Answer:	We typically stay away from the fertilizer until the centipede is fully established. You risk the possibility of burning the fragile seedlings. If anything you can use some lime to balance your PH levels before planting. The seeds are also coated with a moisture absorbing coating and a fungicide which will help protect the seeds as they germinate. Once established, which will take around 3-6 months, you will need to do soil tests regularly and supplement as needed. I generally use 10-10-10, 13-13-13, or something higher in nitrogen. Centipede will usually deplete nutrients faster than other varieties, so it's important to test your soil regularly to see what it needs.
Question:	how much seed in actually in this MIX
Answer:	It is one pound of coated seed. We also sell raw seed, but the coating has benefits of a fungicide, moisture retainage, etc. The coated seed is protected and does help increase germination and storage longevity. We use this same mix on our farms, and we feel it gives us and our customers the best chance to grow centipede.

Answer:	A one pound bag will cover up to 4000 square feet.

Answer:	I don't know, since I live in Arizona, it does well in the shade, and in the sun if the temperatures are not too hot. I would call the number on the back of the package and ask Scotts, the manufacturer. Sorry - I do love this grass - very durable and thick.
Question:	Bought this here, very upset. Not 1 blade of grass has come up, prepared ground, planted & watered with irrigation system . been 3 months? Very upset
Answer:	On this one, I would call Scotts and find out, I have used the Tall Fescue and love it, but I don't know if it was the mix. I live in Arizona and the Tall Fescue doesn't like to be in direct sun in the summer time. It still looks great in the shade in the summer, out of direct sun and in the winter here, it is fine in direct full sun. Of course, our summers are 100 - 118 degrees, so that's pretty hot.

Answer:	The Turf Builder Bermudagrass watersmart plus coating is not phytosanitary certified.
Question:	will it grow in shade in ok
Answer:	No. Go with fescue seeds for shade. Besides, Bermuda seeds have very low germination rate.
Question:	Can I use it up north
Answer:	Bermuda grass needs full sun and wont really take off growing rhizomes until temps reach 80+ for a week or more. Also, night time temps should stay fairly warm. If you live in an area where this is not the case purchase fescue. I live in central NC and it grows well but just an hour or so west from here it is too cool to be a good performer.

Answer:	A five LB bag will cover 5,000 square feet -- so they say. But, it depends on how you spread it. DO NOT attempt to spread it if your SOIL TEMPERATURE is less than 70 degrees. Get a soil temp gauge. And even then, you still have to water it with a light spray every hour. I tried it at 64 degrees, and it just didn't do ANYTHING until it got up to 70 degrees. Good luck with that.
