Answer:	There's a chart here: https://www.kregtool.com/about-us/news/kreg-tool-tips-joining/choose-the-correct-screw-length.aspx . The correct length for 1/2" stock is 1 inch. The chart also allows for a 3/4" length, but I'd as soon have the longer screw.

Answer:	As far as I can tell it is a thick plastic material. I've never had any issues with this brand. We use their pruning clippers and trowels as well as this very sturdy shovel.

Answer:	The pan-head screws, denoted by "SPS" in the stock code, can be used in regular pocket-holes, but they're really designed for use with the Micro jig, which makes a smaller hole and therefore requires screws with a smaller-diameter head to fit. Washer-head screws ("SML") have a larger diameter.
