User questions & answers
Question: | How long is pole? Not the handle, not the scooper...just the pole. Thanks |
Answer: | This seems like a redundant question but yes, it is good for snow. I also like the fact that the handle has a bit of an angle to make it easier to use. I also like the fact that the metal edge is good and the fact that the handle fits in a slot and can come out to use for chipping ice...although I probably won't do that since I have more snow to deal with than ice. |
Question: | I'v seen a few one one star reviews saying they broke easily !!!! The description says 10 year warranty |
Answer: | You can use it for both pushing and lifting although it gets heavy for lifting because it holds a lot of snow. It's an excellent snow pusher - solid, heavy metal. |
Question: | what is the diameter of the handle |
Answer: | 55" from ground to top of handle |
Question: | I plan to use this to shovel snow. Would that use work well |
Answer: | The ice edge slides right into the back. You'll see if you put in there the wrong way cuz it won't clip in and stay. Then to take it out to use the ice chipper, pull the front Clip out and pull the handle ! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can it be used on ice or frozen snow banks? Like when the snow plow comes through and puts a burm in your driveway |
Answer: | Makes it impractical to purchase if the shipping is $135 overpriced. The scoop can be purchased locally for about $50. |
Question: | So is this 100% poly or is it steel dipped in poly |
Answer: | I have never seen one. And I have never worn one out or damaged it in any way. I use a square point steel shovel for the packed snow (from vehicle tires) on cement part of my driveway in front of garage and the berm left at end of driveway buy city snow plow. I prefer a wood handle on very cold days. Actually I have about 15 show shovels and have removed the "wear strip" from half that had them. The wear strip on average shovels catches on cracks and such in concrete. The rounded front on the Sleigh Shovel works better. As I get older and my back gets worse, I mostly pack down snow by driving on it repeatedly on first 5 inches of snow that sticks. That gives me a firm rock free base over my mostly rock driveway to run my snow throwers on. So far I have only replaced one of the shear or breakaway pins on snow blowers rotating blade. We get mostly powder snow and only about 50 inches a year. 50 inches of snow theoretically melts down to maybe a half inch of water. In the real world car tires pack it down to maybe 8 inches of packed snow, in none melted. |
Question: | Where is it made |
Answer: | Asof 1/1/21 this is $3 cheaper at Home Depot. How much is your time and gas worth to you? |
Question: | Does it actually take 1-2 months to ship |
Answer: | The cotter pins that hold the wheels onto the axles are very commonly found in pretty much all hardware stores for pennies. You may have to buy a couple of sizes to get one that fits the diameter of the hole in the axle. A paper clip may bet you by in the short term until you can get to the store. |

Question: | What is the width on the mouth of the shovel? Thanks |
