Answer:	Rather than scissors I might suggest using these blades, they cut like the proverbial hot knife through butter with very heavy belt-thickness leather. The company has two versions of their baldes, one for abrasive things like sheetrock and this one that I prefer which is for clean cutting things like leather and cardboard etc. : Tajima LCB-30RB Precision Craft Endura 3/8-Inch Razor Blades, 10-Pack. I use them in these: HAUTMEC Innovative Dual Use Mechanism Box Utility Cutter .... and I also very much like this: Gerber EAB Lite Pocket Knife 31-000345 with a different Tajima blade for it . I think for leather work these might be much better than scissors. I just used the HAUTMEC with the Tajima blade this afternoon on heavy belt-thickness vegetable tanned leather to make some stacked-and-glued-togehter leather polishing wheels for my bench grinder. Answer:	Felco is one of the finest pruner made. I have been a professional gardener for 42 years. You may need to slightly loosen the locking screw on the thumb lock. You should have received a tool for doing this with your Felco pruner. You can oil any part of the pruner. If you prune shrubs or trees with a lot of sap, you should clean the sap build on the blades every few hours with a light sand paper and sharpen the blade with a Felco blade sharpener. If you sharpen on a regular basis it will only take a few seconds. Sometimes, like every few months, the pruner should be takin apart and sanded in between moving parts and oiled. I use WD40.

Answer:	Hello, In my experience Felco's are probably one of the best tools available to gardeners in the business. I have the same problem when pruning evergreen type plants like arborvitae and rosemary. I have found that cleaning the blades when the green sticky residues build up with a colorx wipe. I also use white lithium grease on the mechanism, or a basic oil. Even olive oil will work. Clean them frequently and it will resolve the issue. Also invest in a sharpening tool or Felco care kit. The tools are designed to last literally forever with proper care. I would also review Felco's maintenance video on the Felco web site or look at Laura from GardenAnswer.
