Answer:	I don't believe there are any manufacturer's instructions in English. I own 3 Gyokucho Japanese Saws (including this one), and I found the best info regarding the proper use of this saw on that popular video site. Just do a search for "Using Japanese Pull Saws", and you will find a plethora of instructional videos. These saws do require a certain technique that is vastly different from their western counterparts, but once you see it done, you'll be able to start practicing it. And once you get the hang of it (mostly just a light touch and the proper cutting angle), you will really enjoy using this saw.

Answer:	The saw I have was received damaged and the arm is very hard to lift. It is going back to the seller. I have ordered a second saw to replace it. It is due Monday the 24th of September. Question:	What is the blade length
Answer:	Unknown. There are metal cutting blades that can be used with it. Have no idea whether it will do the job that you intend for it.
Question:	Can I use this to cut apart a hottub
Answer:	In the US the angle grinders are 4-1/2 inch (slightly above 100 mm) and it fits. I cannot answer with certainty about 100 mm though. I would contact King Artur tools to be on the safe side.
Question:	how slow can the speed go
Answer:	It will, but you will almost have to crawl into the barrel to reach the bottom... be sure to get a medium or fine grit to avoid too much sanding though, they do remove a Lot of wood in a hurry if you are not careful. And you will not be able to get fully into the corner where the bottom and sides of the barrel meet.
Question:	Does it work good with Cutting metal
Answer:	I used it on an oak log. After I was finished and cleaned it, it still cuts like new. I haven’t used it more than a day so I can’t tell you how long it may last.

Answer:	Push if you don’t have a strong thumb and you are cutting 3/8 inch oak. Both if you are cutting smaller or less dense wood.

Answer:	Yes, you can cut an 18" log with a 26" saw. Cut down about 6", and then turn the log 90 degrees, and then cut down 6". Do that on all four sides, and then cut the center 6". It will take a while.

Answer:	It's not a true flush cutting saw but depending on the specific position of the cut it will get very close to a flush cut. I think Zona saws are great generally better than xacto. There are true flush cutting saws available.

Answer:	The width of the saw blade from teeth to the edge of the rib of the saw is 1 1/8 inch.

Answer:	I use mine both ways with good results, but predominantly for cross cutting. The stiffener on the back pretty much limits use for ripping. Not to disagree with Old Sailor who probably has better eyes, but under my magnifying lamp it really appears to be a ripcut with no set. Whichever, they are very good and useful saws. I have been using them for 35 or 40 years.
