Answer:	It's not a true flush cutting saw but depending on the specific position of the cut it will get very close to a flush cut. I think Zona saws are great generally better than xacto. There are true flush cutting saws available.

Answer:	I use mine both ways with good results, but predominantly for cross cutting. The stiffener on the back pretty much limits use for ripping. Not to disagree with Old Sailor who probably has better eyes, but under my magnifying lamp it really appears to be a ripcut with no set. Whichever, they are very good and useful saws. I have been using them for 35 or 40 years.

You will want to use a blade with finer teeth. This saw does not have detents to lock in the angle so you will need to do some setup and some test cuts. This saw will do some great cuts if set up properly.

Answer:	This is for pruning, not carpentry. The quality of the cut is suitable for a shrub or sapling branch, but not for fine furniture (unless your plan is to use it as firewood...)

Answer:	I don't know. Even though I no longer own this tool, (mine was stolen), I really liked it. The saw itself was strong, and it clicked on place for secure and safe handling. Possibly it might not be replaceable because it's cost is so low and I predict the saw blade would stay strong for a good long while.

This saw cuts on the pull stoke. There is some cutting on the push but majority of cut is on the pull. I have owned several of these saws and currently have 2 that I use extensively when I work on the Appalachian Trail. They are light to carry and you can cut larger diameter trees or brush. If you purchase one be sure to get the scabbard it will save you from getting cut or snaggin on your clothes.

Every blade length is available in three teeth sizes/configurations (tpi teeth per inch): 5-6 tpi - Large/Coarse (pruning, green wood), 8.5 tpi - Medium (soft wood) and 12 tpi - Fine (hard wood).

Question:	Where is this saw manufactured? What country
Answer:	The biggest difference is the Ichiban has a tapered blade while the Ichigeki, also called the Sumo has a straight blade. The Ichiban has a finer tooth pattern at 6.35 per inch while the Sumo is 5.62 per inch. The Sumo is a large, monster saw while the Ichiban will make a finer, smoother cut. We don't sell the Sumo but have the C330LH which is also a heavy duty, non tapered blade saw with 6.35 teeth per inch. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can anyone assess on the blade teeth size (medium or large) for gomboy 210 ? would you recommend gomboy 240 or 270 for large teeth ?. thank you

Question:	Do you know if the silky gomboy blade would fit in the bahco laplander handle
Answer:	I have used both. I would say the silky zubat stays sharper for longer. Though I like that Samuel Ichiban does not bend when cutting.

Answer:	Blade is tapered away from teeth to prevent it getting bound in what you're cutting, meaning that the teeth are thicker than the thinner spine. It is around 1.2-1.3 mm's thick at the teeth, tapering to around .9 mm at the spine.
