Answer:	The orange handle on the shaft slides up and down to work the shears. When the pole saw is fully expanded and the orange handle is out of reach, there is real strong nylonish-type cable attached to handle t pull for easy operation of the shears. I find that this gives me more flexibility in my posture which is important when using for extended periods of time. This particular Fiskars tool is awesome = in my opinion the best "medium duty" pole pruner, by far for these reasons. (1) It's FAR LIGHTER than other pole pruners; if you are going to be using a pole saw for more than 15-30 minutes at a time, you're gonna love this model (2) Very sharp, and like all Fiskars tools, the blade is made from quality metal that maintains a nice sharp edge. Answer:	The pruner blades measure about 1-1/8" apart so it should do up to 1" as stated in the specs. I've cut about 3/4" branches with no issues.

Question:	there are 2 different holes to choose from to screw on the head (either farther/closer to the edge). Which is more effective/what is the difference
Answer:	The two holes allows you to change the angle of the saw with respect to the pole. It make a difference on the angle you are sawing from and accessiblity to diffeerent limbs. Most of the stuff I saw is no more tha about 15 feet from the ground so I've set mine on the hole closest the the tooth edge of the saw. For a higher limb or to gain better access to a limb that might be partiallym block I would move the saw to less of angle to the pole. It makes a difference on the leverage you can put on the saw and the space you have to manipulate the saw. There isn't a whole lot of difference between the two settings but sometimes a little difference is all you need
Question:	Do you just pull and hold the rope or is there some kind of motion you need to do. I see no instructions
Answer:	The rope activates the cutting blade. For small limbs you can hold the shaft in the one hand and pull with the other until the limb is cut, but for the biggest limb that can fit into cutter you will need the brace the end of the shaft on the ground or against you. Blade is spring loaded and resets itself unless a piece of bark wedges between the blade and the guard
Question:	is the rope detachable from the device for easy opersation when using only the saw part
Answer:	The rope is easy to detach; however, there is no "only the saw part". I think what you're asking is does the lever, chain and compound pull mechanism interfere with sawing-- It can and does. It also interferes with pruning but the increased force for "pruning" is worth it. I would not want to remove the mechanism from pole, in fact the saw blade attaches to the mechanism. With the increased force the need for the saw is reduced but I kept the pole and saw from my old worn out pruner for when I need to use a pole saw. Overall I'm quite happy with this TP6870 , Corona doesn't make junk.
Question:	Is a replacement part available for the Plastic Clamping Nut? It WILL crack (I have 3 of these) soon after you have had too long to return it
Answer:	Terrible engineering is it not? Just drill a small hole 3/32 works good about 2 inches below the nut and insert a bolt. for extending the saw pull it out 3 feet or so and drill another hole and then it will lock securely there as well. another nice thing to do is go to the dollar store and get some small carabineer key chain things and use them to secure the cord that works the lopper , then you can detach is while sawing. do these 2 things and you have a great t tool.

Answer:	The trimmer is a fixed length. There is sleeve in the middle that will actuate the trimmer and a pull ring on the end that will also actuate the trimmer. I use it for trimming plants in my pond and have found it very handy.

The internal block and tackle is plastic and can fracture.

Answer:	I found keeping the blade straight and standing back from the tree (instead of right underneath) best for cutting.You pull the blade towards you to cut, lift the blade place it on the branch and pull towards you lift blade and place it into the cut and repeat till cut off.

Answer:	Hi Perlage This pruner is better to cut young trees of twigs,stems, twiggy. When you squeeze the handle to cut them, the jaws will hold them after cut.
Question:	can I buy only the saw for a pole saw
Answer:	this tool comes with a saw attachment that is not firm enough to do any cutting (too much flexing). my Amazon review for this product was "...lightweight pruner and not a functional saw..." won't recommend the saw attachment at all.
Question:	How does the harvester work
Answer:	The clamp end of the harvester has to be directly above the fruit. This ensures that the fruit is not dropped when the stem is cut. Additionally, you have to keep the handle squeezed until you are ready to release the fruit. There is a slight learning curve to using the picker but once you get acquainted with how it works, it is a good tool. So in conclusion, the clamp has to be positioned on the underside of the device just above the fruit.

Answer:	Their is a foam section on the pole that slides up and down allowing you to grip/hold in the most comfortable location. The handle/lever that you squeeze is coated/painted smooth enamel and easy to squeeze depending of course on how thick of a branch your trimming. I find the trimmer to be very comfortable and easy to use. With the extension I was able to prune my mature fruit trees (Apple, plum, pear) without needing a ladder. I also have used it to prune or trim redwood, mulberry, and Japanese maple trees. Overall I am very pleased with the pruner.
