Answer:	Not really packaging per se...It came in a sturdy box and it is not the the first set of lopers that I have owned...I am pretty rough on my outdoor-care-type-tools so when these get "tired" I will get pretty much the same thing again !!!

Answer:	It is a scissors cut. We have 40 acres with loads of piñon, and juniper and cedar that always needs pruning. These cut so well. I had a pair for over 15 years and treated myself to a new pair last year. I should mention I'm a petite 70 year old woman and these loppers make cutting through branches almost 2"s in diameter easy.

Answer:	By design this is fairly heavy in order to make it strong enough to work. Even though its designed to give more leverage for cutting branches, it still takes a lot of strenght to cut 1/2" or larger branches. I bought these because they make it easier to cut, but they still require a fair amount of hand strehght.

Since armspread is roughly the same as our height, if you're over 4' tall you'd be OK BUT it's demanding of your pectoral muscles so be careful unless you already work out to keep in shape.

Answer:	I think that the weight was listed in the description info. As a male, it is a comfortable weight, but could be a little heavy for a smaller female, especially if working overhead.

Answer:	These are more sturdy. But this Power Gear 2 weighs about twice as much as the original Power Gear. Really disappointing that you can't find the original any more.

Answer:	I was able to find and purchase replacement blades for the original PowerGear. Shipping was high so I ordered 5 to save money but with propper care and light filing I have only used 2 after 1yr of heavy business use.Fiskars blades only have a 1/8in blade overlap (allows more cutting capacity) so they must be just slightly sharpened and they work fine. My dad tried to sharpen his chipped blade and took too much off and ruined it.Just don't cut roots in dirt, too dry limbs, chain link fencing, or twist the blade. I find my employees always try cutting roots without properly cleaning them (roots) and it ALWAYS dulls or chips the blades, even if you think it wouldn't. I have to threaten employees to pay for damage and then they treat them better.

Answer:	The small improvements do make it worth the extra money. This is a highly effective tool that is easy on your hands and back. I would pay more than the listed price using this on fairly large locust branches recently without any problem. This is the best lopper made.

Answer:	They are much smoother and quicker (less fatiguing) than the ratchet loppers that require resetting the ratchet handles during a large cut. I can't gage the cutting strength effort compared to my broken ACE ratchet loppers with no replacement parts, but the handle extension makes up for it with the increased leverage. So far, I have cut 1.5-2.0 inch green hedge limbs, (Osage Orange) with moderate effort.

Answer:	With very little effort starting with the name Wolf-Garten I found they are made in Germany. I can tell you they are very well made & function perfectly. I have probably abused them by cutting branches larger than recommended. One of my better purchases.

Answer:	The site you recommended for a replacement blade does not take to a site that has the blade and it's in German so good luck. But if you need a blade you will also need the hex fitting to take off the screw that holds it in place. What would be nice is if Amazon had these parts for the customers who bought this item.
