Question:	How much do these things smell? Want to put composter inside a small area behind our shed if the smell won't nauseate the kiddos
Answer:	We have one in our backyard and I almost never smell it. The only time I have noticed a smell has been when the lid is open and I am dumping more kitchen scraps in it and even then it's not that often. All the compost books say if it does smell bad that means you need more greens or browns depending on the smell.

Question:	Since it doesn't have a bottom, will that work on our patio? We live in a condo and only have a large patio area that is concrete
Answer:	I wouldn't use this in your situation. It would definitely stain the patio. I'd find a different design. Also you'll need to make sure you have enough dry material in the composter or it will stink if your compost is mostly kitchen scraps. In your situation I'd probably go for worm composting. My daughter made a vermicompost kit out of a couple of inexpensive storage bins at a camp a number of years ago. One has holes drilled into it and the other is solid so any worms or leakage will go into the outer bin. Question:	How do the top doors open? Easy enough to do one handed? Do they keep out the raccoons
Answer:	I have not had any problems with raccoons or rodents at all. The top locks tightly. And yes, I can open it one handed to throw in a small amount of scraps but otherwise, two hands work better to take the entire top off when adding large amounts, leaves or twigs and grass clippings. Remember to turn it at least once a week - I use a pitchfork to do that task. Good luck!

Answer:	It should sit in the sun. The heat from the sun helps break down the compost.

Answer:	It doesn't have true "drainage," but it is not air tight. When I add water from time to time, it does leak a bit.

Answer:	I would say yes. It's sturdy enough to handle the compost, but a decent sized bear would probably be able to break it apart.

Answer:	I use a teflon sheet and no you don't have to press too hard. I used to use my iron and this thing is AAAAAmazing!!! Time and heat control... no more guessing or over heating.

Answer:	Your iron may be greatly superior to mine...But the advantages that this heat press has over my iron are these: 1) I'm able set the exact temperature I need. (I didn't realize what a difference this would make!) 2) The heat press is HEAVY. I want a lightweight iron for ironing clothes, but want pressure (which weight provides) for heat transfer designs. 3) This heat press has a timer. I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. To be truthful, any heat press probably delivers these. But the smaller, more compact size (even with the largest, the 12 x 10--which I purchased), and hence, easier storage when not in use...is what tipped the scales for me when choosing the Cricut over the other brands of heat presses. Answer:	The coffee brews while the milk is being stirred & frothed. As it brews, it flows into the carafe with the milk that is being stirred & frothed. Once the process is complete, the 'coffee flavored' froth separates to the top and the coffee to the bottom of the carafe. Question:	How sturdy is this item? Will it fall over in a strong wind? I live where the winds blow fairly hard at times
Answer:	I actually toss a little bit (maybe 6 cups) of soil from my garden in my compost when starting it out and it seems to give it a good kick. Just add 50/50 green and brown material with it and it will take off. Make sure to check it often if it gets sunny outside. Compost seems to dry out fast when it's hot, due to bacteria and fungus using a lot more water when it gets hot.
Question:	where is it made
Answer:	I keep adding to my compost all winter. I just don't turn it over as often, maybe once every 2 weeks or so. While nothing will "cook" during the winter, you'll have fresh material on standby for when it does start to warm up. I suppose my only tip would be to make sure you add material to it during the daytime and make sure your composter stays in a sunny spot. The door can freeze "shut" at night due to the lower temperatures and any moisture along the track.I've already been through one winter with it and I sincerely had no issues and didn't have to make any changes to the way I used the tumbler.
Question:	at what point do I stop putting waste in and stop so it fully composts? There seems to be a lack of info about the transition
Answer:	You have to assemble it. I brought it about a year ago and put off trying to put it together until yesterday, because of all the reviews saying it was difficult. I didn't find it hard to figure out how to do it , and thought the instructions that came with it did a good job of showing you how to do it . It was time consuming because you have to put in 57 small screws with the nuts. I'm a woman, 76 years old with no especial insight on assembling things. It looks like it will do a good job for me.

Answer:	NO, NOT AT ALL. Compared to actual bear-proof stuff, this lightweight plastic thing is like playdough. It's not pretending to be otherwise. Bears require heavy metal and tricky locking mechanisms--and, even so, they still break open car doors and trunks. If you have bear issues, maybe keep this in an area enclosed by a tall, strong fence, or in a garage/shed/barn, if you have one big enough for that to work and not overwhelm you with stink.

Answer:	Don’t really know because it was bought for my wife who has two other compost containers. She has transferred some material to the new one. She does love her new composter. States that it is exactly what she wasted.

Answer:	No it is not inflated, but is covered with soft material. It is comfortable to use and I recommend it.

Answer:	Very little because of you fill it too full then the plastic breaks. It is a horrible composted. Don't waste your money!
Question:	How is this put together? Are the tumblers one piece or do you join two or more pieces to put together each tumbler? How many screws? Thanks
Answer:	The instructions to assemble should be with the tumbler, together with a list of all the parts.
Question:	Can you tell me the assembled dimensions
Answer:	Tracy, push the open/close slide in to the open position, then turn the lid counter clockwise. It seems like it is stuck but muscle it, and it will open. After that file down the small round little nibs in each of the four 'L' shaped air vents and that will make the lid easier to turn. Do the same thing on the other side of the barrel. It is not hard to file the plastic and it is worth the effort because my tumbler is working well and it really does cook compost efficiently.
