Answer:	Your iron may be greatly superior to mine...But the advantages that this heat press has over my iron are these: 1) I'm able set the exact temperature I need. (I didn't realize what a difference this would make!) 2) The heat press is HEAVY. I want a lightweight iron for ironing clothes, but want pressure (which weight provides) for heat transfer designs. 3) This heat press has a timer. I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. To be truthful, any heat press probably delivers these. But the smaller, more compact size (even with the largest, the 12 x 10--which I purchased), and hence, easier storage when not in use...is what tipped the scales for me when choosing the Cricut over the other brands of heat presses. Question:	How sturdy is this item? Will it fall over in a strong wind? I live where the winds blow fairly hard at times
Answer:	I actually toss a little bit (maybe 6 cups) of soil from my garden in my compost when starting it out and it seems to give it a good kick. Just add 50/50 green and brown material with it and it will take off. Make sure to check it often if it gets sunny outside. Compost seems to dry out fast when it's hot, due to bacteria and fungus using a lot more water when it gets hot.
Question:	where is it made
Answer:	I keep adding to my compost all winter. I just don't turn it over as often, maybe once every 2 weeks or so. While nothing will "cook" during the winter, you'll have fresh material on standby for when it does start to warm up. I suppose my only tip would be to make sure you add material to it during the daytime and make sure your composter stays in a sunny spot. The door can freeze "shut" at night due to the lower temperatures and any moisture along the track.I've already been through one winter with it and I sincerely had no issues and didn't have to make any changes to the way I used the tumbler.
Question:	at what point do I stop putting waste in and stop so it fully composts? There seems to be a lack of info about the transition
Answer:	You have to assemble it. I brought it about a year ago and put off trying to put it together until yesterday, because of all the reviews saying it was difficult. I didn't find it hard to figure out how to do it , and thought the instructions that came with it did a good job of showing you how to do it . It was time consuming because you have to put in 57 small screws with the nuts. I'm a woman, 76 years old with no especial insight on assembling things. It looks like it will do a good job for me.

Question:	How do you get the finished compost out? Can a shovel fit in the doors or do you turn the bin, open the door and dump out finished compost
Answer:	I find it very stable. Most of the time one side is full and “cooking” while I am filling the other side. If you need to you could put sand bags on the base. Here in California I get 2 buckets of lovely soil from one side very 3 to 4 weeks

Answer:	My guess is if it's Israeli it's made by Keter who makes plastic sheds, deck boxes etc.

Answer:	I made 2 batches so far. The 1st I filled 3/4 full and let it sit. Over time the pile lessened to about 1/2 as it composted. I filled the 2nd chamber full and am waiting for it to do its work...after 2 weeks it’s still pretty full, although it has decreased, and continues to compost.
Question:	Is this tumbler suitable to be sitting in direct sun in the Central Valley? 110F is not unusual

Answer:	Don’t really know because it was bought for my wife who has two other compost containers. She has transferred some material to the new one. She does love her new composter. States that it is exactly what she wasted.

Answer:	I would say it could be made to be bear resistant easily by drilling holes in the sliding doors and using a padlock to secure them in a closed position to the frame.

Question:	Once you stop adding new compost, how long before it's "done" and ready to use in the garden
Answer:	The latches are tight, but bears are very clever creatures. And strong. They can even open car doors. :-) So we would not say it is bear proof. It will keep out raccoons, though.

Answer:	I don 't think my compost has ever been ready in two weeks. I like to cure it at least six weeks. My Mantis sits out in the weather with no problems. It needs the sun to heat the compost. I like it very much!

Question:	Is this product made from Ultravoilet [UV] rays protective plastic
Answer:	Once it's done we like to let it sit for a month or longer, but have used it right away before. We will add it to our raised bed gardens along with organic manure, mix well and let it sit a few weeks before planting. We do live in Phoenix, Arizona, so our compost breaks down faster.

Question:	Does this come with a handle or where could I get one
Answer:	My family raised nightcrawlers when I was a kid for vacation money. We put them in a big wooden box. My concern with the composter is that it has vents. When you rotate it, some dirt will fall out, but so could the crawlers. I'd add the compost to a different container with the nightcrawlers. My opinion.

Answer:	I have struggled empting it - I did the same with a plastic tarp. Be careful putting a pitch fork or shovel in the bin - the plastic around the rim is not that strong and will split if it is pushed against.

Answer:	We live in a desert climate and most plastics dry and become very brittle in a short time period if exposed to the full sun. We haven't had our compost unit long enough to know how well it will hold up, but it seems like a high quality plastic.

Question:	Given that the composter is insulated, how important is the placement within the yard? I'd rather place it in my side yard but it gets less sun
Answer:	Depends on where you live and what you call winter, this needs heat and microbes to make mulch and if your using it for your kitchen waist and want to get a head start on Gardening for spring, you could keep it in a warm shed or garage and bring it out for the sunshine during the day and keep loading it all winter, lot of work, I just throw my indoor food waist straight into the garden for spring, Hope that helps !! Question:	What is the clearance between the ground and the tumbler? Enough room for a wheelbarrow
Answer:	They are a alloy With Stainless Steel and should not corrode, but, if they do you can buy them at any local hardware store, mines 5 years old and I have not had this problem so far !! Good Luck !!

Question:	Is the drum individual panels that arrive pre assembled or is it a one piece plus the door drum
Answer:	Compost tea is made from finished compost, so yes. Dripping liquid from the composting process is called leachate, and it is not the same as compost tea.
Question:	How wide is the opening
Answer:	I read that I should place the composter in a shadier part of the yard. I got my composter this last winter and located it on the north side of the house. This is a little used area so it was as much for aesthetics as it was for advise. Anyway, our winters are pretty severe. I am in a zone 5. It got down past zero this year. I did not notice much composting action until spring. I never tried the hot water bottle trick, but I did add some compost starter when I got desperate for something to happen. As soon as the weather warmed up, this composter took off and I have one side that I am using on the garden already and the other side is already halfway done. I am very happy with the composter and don't blame it for not being too effective in the winter. If I had it to do over again, I might put the composter on the sunny side of the house, but then it would bake in the summer!
Question:	Are there any vents on this composter? How quickly does it compost
Answer:	Aaron, the clearance between the absolute bottom edge and the ground is 20 inches. That would assume the you intend to pour the contents straight down. The clearance from the bottom edge of the panel with the door, assuming your wheelbarrow is along side or partly under the tumbler is 30 inches. I find this perfectly reasonable because I do not empty all the contents out at one time. In fact, not so different from a "starter" in making sour dough bread, it is useful to leave some of the contents in the tumbler.
Question:	does this come assembled
Answer:	I wish I had room in my garage or shed for mine. I have mine on my back patio and don't have any issues with odor whatsoever. I don't think it is a matter of smell at all. You may get some flies and gnats though. Just a part of composting. If it does get smelly, add some wood chips or shredded cardboard. You have too much "green matter". It is really best to mix a full load at a time so you get the right mix. If you want to continue adding kitchen scraps, start with at least 80% browns, and add the greens as you go. Keep it moist, but not wet.
