A drop in the nose for a few days should help with minor respiratory issues like sneezing or you could put a couple drops into the birds water to help with just about everything else (mites, etc). Also, if you find giving nasal drops a problem you can always put a drop or two under the wing. I'm not a vet or a poultry expert by any means but been raising and doctoring chickens for years. Answer:	For leg mites on chickens, we use vaseline petroleum jelly and for our chickens who have persistent mites we use Vicks brand. After 2 or three treatments you should notice an improvement. Also, cover their legs thoroughly but not do not over do it. Our chickens have never been affected negatively in any way. Only 3 of our chickens have had trouble with mites and they are all our Bantams that we purchased already grown. Vaseline is safe for animals and we give it to our dogs from time to time to help clear hairballs from their throats. We add the VetRx to our chickens water and as the bottle says, it is safe for daily use as a preventative. We had a couple of our chickens we had to isolate with coughs and after a week they got better! The VetRx is a completely natural product derived from healthful plants and can be used both internally and externally and is formulated for chickens, geese and ducks. We keep this in our stock for our 30 chickens as well as other vital health products. Also, I recommend diatomaceous earth can be used to preventand kill these pest from your flock. Place a good amount in areas where your flock likes to dust themselves and leave some in trays. Answer:	I don't beleive there is a warranty on these. I'm disgusted with the fact that it does not fill proper, leaks nout the entire content when hung and only is very confusing to get the lid placed correctly even though it has what are to be two openings for refilling the tray for chickens!! Don't purchase this product! If need a cheap one, only purchase the 1 gallon or the 1 1/2 gallon size. At least it can be hung, refills as it should and lid isn't a puzzle piece. I have now this week, went to a hanging, galvanized 5 gallon waterer that is covered and hangs. No issues!! Wasted my money x3 on these plastic ones because the lids have to slide into a joint and they eventually get brittle and break. Cheaper isn't bettter in this arena. Overall I have used this style for many years and it holds up well. Ironically, my hens prefer cold water.....

A few tricks for dealing with stubborn birds

Remove all other sources of water. Place the new nipple waterer in the old waterer’s location.

Bring a bird’s beak directly to the nipple waterer and flick the nipple. You may have to activate the nipple with the bird’s beak to demonstrate the new water source.

You don’t have to train every bird in the flock. Just a few will do. Once the first chickens begin drinking, others will follow.

Step 1. Using a 3/8" drill bit, drill a hole in the side of the container for each cup. 



Step 2. Remove any burrs or debris from around each drill hole. 



Step 3. Remove wingnut and insert cup assembly into the hole until the rubber washer contacts the outside of the container.



Step 4. Hold the cup in place ensure the correct position while screwing the wingnut onto the thread inside the bucket and tighten by hand.

Step 5. Thoroughly wash out the container after installation, to ensure that it is free of all residual debris. Dirt and plastic shavings may cause water cups to stop functioning correctly.



Step 6. Find a location to place or hang the container so the cups are at a suitable height for your birds.

Answer:	Can't really answer your question about that. I think it's also a debate, depending on who you ask.. for example, I vape instead of smoke and vape liquid is made from it. So in my opinion it's the lesser of two evils. Likewise with chickens. I use this when one appears really sick. I figure at that point it's worth a shot. For me it's proven to be helpful. Sorry I can't be more help.

Answer:	Well... I compared the labels for swine and poultry nutri-drench, and both had the same percentage of vitamins and minerals, except the swine had zinc and the poultry had methionine. You may want to check online to see if either ingredient is safe for swine/poultry. This stuff works great!
