Question:	will this work on a Emu egg
Answer:	I bought 2 to be able to see inside my Copper Maran eggs. I set the egg on top the first candler, then invert the 2nd candler on top of egg in a dark room. It worked! I don't raise Emu, so I can't guarantee it.
Question:	Will this work on dark dark maran eggs
Answer:	Hi Yes it will, we happily use it on Copper Black French Maran eggs which are very dark, however if you are not used to candling please ensure the room is dark to get maximum effect (as a general rule the darker the egg the darker the room you candle in will give best results). Answer:	I would guess not great. I use it on serama eggs and it is only ok. A lot of light leakage.

Answer:	I think the quail eggs might be too small for this product. I would not recommend this product for any egg. It does not have a rubber ring around the edge so it is hard to get the light to shine through the egg. It also takes weird batteries, not AA's. I would buy a different one.
Question:	Where do i get a battery? i tried a reg. aa battery and there was nothing
Answer:	It takes the 18650 battery. You can get them on Amazon. Personally, I decided to try a couple of different candlers and I found the hblife Bright Cool LED Light Egg Candler Tester for All Egg Type, Powered by Power Cord Only to be awesome for me. But you have to be able to plug it in to use it. It does not take batteries. But it never goes dim and it works fantastic for big eggs like peacock or goose eggs

Answer:	Haven't had to replace the bulb yet but you might need to check with Ace Hardware for something specialty

Answer:	I have no idea, but it doesn't work real well. My home made one worked better! (Use regular can like vegs come in, cut out both ends, put dark cloth over one end with small hole in it, use rubber band to secure it...the egg will sit on this hole...put a flashlight into the other opening and you have it...must have very dark room to use).

Question:	will the quail eggs rotate fine in this, even if they are small
Answer:	It will crack them and bust your air cells. Don't buy.
Question:	Why does my incubator say the temp is 99.5 but multiple added thermometers inside say 93.5? Is it broken or is there a reason for this
Answer:	This is the issue I had with this incubator. The temperature was very unreliable and I have temp spike and drops which can be fatal to eggs.

Question:	Can you change the hatch day? I'm interested in using this for quail which have a shorter incubation period
Answer:	No only reset to 21 days. If you have to stop turning quail 3 days before they hatch you could probably set it up and wait 3 days before putting the eggs in. I’m planning on doing the opposite with some turkey eggs which are 28 days

Question:	Does this work for duck eggs?? My duck eggs seem to be really thick and I can't make out any veins or anything with my phone flashlight
Answer:	If I could get my hands on a duck egg. I'd try that out for you. I do have Guinea Fowl though and their eggs are smaller yet much denser that chicken eggs and this candling lamp works like a charm on them. I used to use a flashlight (along with a tube from toilet paper), trust me when I say, this candler is so much better. You'll love it. Answer:	It is designed for larger eggs but would probably work if you could get the egg in the right position. Maybe use a large washer over the light then set the egg on it.
Question:	Would you be able to see worms if they are in the egg
Answer:	No. I actually did have an egg with a round worm in it. It was not discernable when I candled it.

Answer:	It does not say on the packaging. It is an extremely bright white light (LED). I use it with dark brown egg, green eggs and white eggs. I use it daily to check eggs for cracks, blood spots and meat before packaging. It works well and is a convenient size. I bought it May 2014 and have been very pleased with it.

Question:	When do i add water
Answer:	You've got to put a thermometer and hygrometer inside the unit, this way you can check temp and humidity and adjust as needed. The temperature gauge is not all that accurate, but it is easy to manipulate if you have a thermometer. Water is also easy to add through the holes in the bottom of the unit at the viewing window by the turner, I like that I don't have to open the unit to adjust the water level- just squirt more in the hole with the water bottle.
Question:	how do I set the turning time
Answer:	You cannot set the turning time specifically. I just incubated my first batch of eggs with this and it turns every hour or two on its own. I believe it’s every two hours. I marked my eggs so that I could tell that they were turning and they were.. I also have found that it does not maintain the temperature very accurately. So I keep a thermometer inside the incubator so that I can set it appropriately
Question:	How can I determine if it is at work
Answer:	I marked eggs and placed mark sides up. After a few hours, the marks has been moved, which was a slow and hard to aware process. Fortunately, it is working normally, and I successfully hatched a few weeks ago.
Question:	How much water do you put in the incubator and what is the spray bottle for? What are the wire clips for? Help please
Answer:	Wire clips? do you mean the red and black wires that are to be connected for the egg turner? I myself just bought this item..I do not know what the spray bottle is for, and as far as water, I just squirt a little in everyday. I am sure You tube will answer more questions. Question:	How would I hook up a web cam to it? Does it have a usb port somewhere on it? My web cam is built into my Macbook
Answer:	No web port. Not sure it is possible since you have to look through a hole roughly the size of your eye. I don't know if you could even get a camera to record through the hole.

Answer:	It is both things in one unit. You put the egg on top of the high intensity light, close it, look through the scope and you can see inside the egg. It has a little round table so you can turn the egg around while you look

Answer:	NO, the OvaScope is just to look at the development of the embryo as the days go by. You need an Incubator to incubate the eggs.
Question:	Where can you get the equipment to be able to view & connect to computer or tv? Also directions on how to do this
Answer:	This item can't be "connected" to a computer; however, there is a small lug on each side of the eyepiece tube so that a typical webcam can be held in place using an elastic band (instructions are on the leaflet that comes with the unit). Any webcam that can be laid down flat should work, but the webcam will need to have focus adjustment to ensure you get a good image of the embryo.
