Answer:	The pen has a cap that can easily be snapped onto the opposite end when in use. It is designed to do just that.

Answer:	Depends on where you put the pen. On a desk or in a box, storing flat can keep the ink ready to flow for the next use. In a pocket or stand, nib up will help prevent leaks.

TIPS TO ENSURE GOOD INK FLOW IN YOUR FOUNTAIN AND CALLIGRAPHY PENS

• Each cartridge measures approx 40mm (1.5") in length. Please compare with your current cartridge to make sure it will fit your pen.
• NEVER use waterproof ink as this will clog your pen.
• DO NOT squeeze your cartridge to stimulate ink flow. This will damage the cartridge
• DO NOT drop or even tap your pen against a hard surface as this is likely to damage both the nib, the cartridge and even the seal between the lid and the body of the pen. To avoid accidental damage, always replace the cap after use. This also stops the ink from drying inside the pen.
• OCCASIONALLY wash the nib after use as per the following instructions: Carefully remove the old ink cartridge, placing it on a paper towel to protect against potential leakage. Now gently rinse the nib in soapy, warm water until water runs clear. Dry thoroughly before putting in a new cartridge. Make sure when you put the new ink cartridge in, you push firmly enough to hear a loud "click". This is how you know the ink is inserted correctly.

STEP 1

Disassemble the Pen:

Find the opening of the cartridge and insert it into the pen’s feed section

STEP 3

Press Firmly:

Push the cartridge firmly into the feed until you feel the cartridge puncture. This may take more force than you expect. You will be rewarded by a satisfying "click"!

STEP 4

Leave the Pen Tip Down:

It can take a while for the ink to fully saturate the pen, so don’t worry if it doesn’t start writing right away. You should shake it gently if you would like to speed up the process, although this may result in a small amount of leakage or spillage.

How to fill a fountain pen with cartridges:



Insert the narrow end of the new cartridge into the black of section block with enough pressure to create a snug fit. The pin inside the section block will puncture the seal of the cartridges, allowing ink to flow into the section block. Screw the barrel on over the cartridge into the section block.

When you fill the pen at the first time, you can swing the pen to make a few drops of ink coming out of the nib, so that it can flow easily.

Question:	why use a fountain pen to write
Answer:	The bore size of a 12 gauge is .729 inches, times two that's 1.458, so depending on the manufacturer of the shotgun the strength and quality of the metal will determine if they use thicker walls or not. These brackets are 1.6 inches so it may or may not be a tight fit especially if the spacer between the barrels is wide, it may be possible to bend the bracket out a little bit and make the barrels fit but most likely they would not work as they are.

Some good ink brands are waterman, noodler's, diamine, parker, pilot iroshizuku, and plenty more. Btw, unless you desperately want this pen, I wouldn't recommend buying it. It's a Chinese pen that's probably worth less than $5, aim for trusted brands like pilot, lamy, noodler's, and even some trusted Chinese brands like jinhao and wingsung. Just make sure you're getting the right price for the Chinese ones.
