Question:	What is the pen's metal casing like, is it durable
Answer:	I have a black color pen and use it daily. Over time, the color coating will wear off (in small batches and especially around the area where the cap closes at the body), and reveals a bronze-like color beneath. At other scratched areas at the top of the cap, the underlying color is a metallic gray. But it still looks nice and I continue to use as one of my many daily carries.

Answer:	The question is imprecise. Any fountain pen ink is suitable for use in this pen. Waterman, Diamine, J. Herbin, Robert Oster, etc., etc. Any bottle that says Fountain Pen Ink will do.

Answer:	I am amazed at how easy it is to write or draw with this pen. It's a great purchase and so affordable. I highly recommend these and have purchased another to use with a different color ink.

Answer:	The 5" pen was available on Amazon at the end of last year. I bought a white one. The 5" pen is likely still available.

Answer:	Assuming you're talking about the Premium Bond Street Edition Jotter they're between $25 and $40 depending where you buy it from. US Amazon doesn't have them anymore (afaik) and I think the Gold and Black isn't currently made anymore but is still available at several places

Answer:	If you're talking about width it's a European Medium. If you're talking about size it's a #5
Question:	What size refil carterage does this use
Answer:	Yes, one ink cartridge is attached.
Question:	If i were to use an ink converter with this pen, could it be used with speedball super black india ink
Answer:	By comparing this with other pens I have, I would say this is a bit finer than 0.7mm (medium), but visually heavier than 0.5 (fine). Frankly, if it were near a fine nib, I wouldn't like it; and I like this pen a lot!
Question:	Is the body of the pen made from aluminium or is it a plastic body that looks like aluminium
Answer:	in this pen, it requires a standard international converter, but since the shape of the intake is slanted like a standard international cartridge, many of the chinese standard int'l converters won't work (since they're like cylinders with standard int'l bore, and not tapered). you're gonna wanna look for a standard international converter that has the smaller, slanted part at the front instead of just being a barrel. brands that do fit: schmidt (the K5), monteverde, montblanc, waterman, rotring, and some select moonman ones. brands that do NOT work (unless you're willing to file off some from the front to make it fit): jinhao, hero, penbbs, most chinese brands. basically any standard international converter that costs more than $5 will probably fit lol. i'd recommend the schmidt k5 because this pen has a schmidt nib/assembly, so it's like for sure compatible. if anyone finds a cheap chinese brand that has a properly shaped converter, please contact me because so many pens have this problem, and i want to buy 20 of them.

Question:	Do I need a blotter with this pen
Answer:	Depends on the finish of the paper.. if slick, glossy- then yes, you need to blot; if absorbent paper.. then, no.

Answer:	The pen came in a case. I purchased the per and refills together. I have purchased other fountain pens, all came in a case.
Question:	Will this pen smear for left-handed people
Answer:	I have 3 of these and I am left Handed. Any fountain pen will smear for left or right handed people, in fact so will pencil if you are not careful. For that matter so well some ballpoint pens. Most left handed people, myself included, have figured out how to write without smearing whatever they are writing with. Having said that there are some inks that dry faster than others. If you have a problem with smearing because you are dragging your hand over the ink then I would suggest you check out some of the inks that are faster drying. With respect to the pens I find them to be very good pens to write with and even more so because of the low price. If you are just getting into fountain pens these are a good pens to start with to see if you like fountain pens. I have a fair number of fountain pens and I actually still carry one of these for my everyday use. Hope this helps!
Question:	Is anyone else experiecing issues with the flow of the ink. I continue to experience inconsistent streaking. Am I doing something incorrectly
Answer:	Now don't take offense at this but be sure you're holding the pen correctly. The small sliver in the tip where ink flows is what should always be touching the paper. Also I've found that the ink can dry pretty quickly with the cap off so put it on even if you're just stopping to think for a moment. I hope my answer has been helpful!

Answer:	Hello and we thank you for choosing Parker. I would advise to unscrew the front end of the pen from the barrel, remove the ink cartridge or converter and put the entire front end of the pen into a glass of cold water for 24 hours. After that time, gently clean the nib using a soft material. This usually helps with the ink clogs and writing issues. Answer:	Parker converter works with this pen. It’s a good intro pen but if you can afford it go to a Parker IM, a good value for money pen that does a fine nib. A converter works in the IM as well.
Question:	Why is the ink not coming out when I put the ink inside and followed instructions
Answer:	First time users sometimes underestimate the pressure it takes to puncture the cartridge. There is a definite "click" when cartridge is inserted. IF this is the first time a fountain is used with a cartridge it can take some time for the ink to flow to the nib. Set the pen upside down with the cap on and go make a cup of tea. The ink will flow soon after..

Answer:	Parker pens...both ball point pens, and their various styles of fountain pens are now manufactured in other countries around the world. In Canada, France to name a few, but it seems that most of ink cartridges...& pens are made in India. It's best to order Parker items online or by mail. Rarely sold in local stores. Enjoy writing with them. Please note that Parker products are well made. And the ink is high quality. Only problem is you'll probably need to order those their items on line or by mail, because Parker products are rarely sold in local stores.

Answer:	The cartridges that I use fit the Parker's "Victor" style of pens. I'm not familiar with their IM series of pens. Best to do some checking your IM type of writing pens, before you order up a couple of boxes....hoping that they'll fit.

Answer:	My 2 Parker pens are 30 years old, and do not have numbers, but these cartridges work well. If the pen is not used for over a week, the pen tip can dry out. In this case I clean the pen tip with water to allow the ink to flow more evenly.
