Answer:	No. Lead is retractable, but tip is fixed.
Question:	What's the difference between the rapid pro and the 600 series
Answer:	The Rapid Pro is a natural evolution of the Rotring 600 in terms of design. The profile is rounded, and the grip section more generous. In terms of functionality, the main difference is the retractable nib, present in the Rapid Pro and absent in the 600. The Rapid Pro is also available in 2mm edition in addition to the 0,5 and 0,7, while the 600 comes only in these two sizes. The 600 features an interesting lead hardness indicator, which is not present in the Rapid Pro. Both pencils have a full metal body.The Rotring 600 represents a piece of Rotring heritage, with its classic rugged design. The Rapid Pro is a more modern interpretation of the same concept.
Question:	Is the tip delicate? Would this be a pencil that can be carried in a pocket without the tip bending or breaking
Answer:	I carry it in my shirt pocket all the time and it's never been an issue. That said I've dropped the pencil several time and it always lands on the tip, and bends the tip. It's easily bent back into place (bend opposite on edge of table). If you don't bend it back in place and get it near perfect you'll be snapping lead. I've done this bending process at least 5 times over the 2 years I've owned this pencil and the metal tip shows now fatigue. If the pen was balanced a little better this would be a non issue.
Question:	is this pencil too heavy to put behind ear
Answer:	The pencil has some heft to it, but it stays behind my ear just fine. It's just heavy enough so that you won't forget it's there.

Answer:	In order to refill the lead in your Paper Mate Clearpoint Mechanical Pencil, you must remove the eraser from the top of the pencil, drop the replacement lead into the tube, then return the eraser. Lastly, click the lead a few times in order to advance the new lead.

Answer:	It is #2 lead. I am unable to confirm that it is unbreakable. Most lead is fragile and can break with pressure from pushing down to write. I hope this helps.

Answer:	If the lead you put in the pencil is labeled #2, then yes, but not all mechanical pencil lead is #2. However, you can get 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9, all the common sizes in #2.
Question:	How is this pencil differant than the regular 'clear point'? wich one is better? pros/cons
Answer:	This Clear Point Elite is clearly an improvement over the previous Clear Point mechanical. The part I like the best on the Elite is that the tip where the lead comes out has been redesigned. On the previous one, the tiny parts that hold the lead in place would fall out, rendering the pencil useless, since the lead would break every time you started to write. Since I have been using the Elite (for a few years now), that has not happened even once. The only improvements I would suggest to Paper Mate are, 1) to have some sort of system that would absorb the stress on the lead when writing to prevent the lead from breaking (or maybe I just press down too hard when I write), and 2) a way to prevent the eraser from retracting into the pencil when erasing at an angle. Right now, you have to erase at a straight 90 degree angle or hold the twisting part with your finger to keep that from happening. It would also be helpful to sell these in bulk, per box of twelve with just the pencil. I usually lose the pencil or lend it to somebody (and never get it back) long before the eraser is all used up. Then I end up with having to buy a whole new starter set with more erasers and lead. Even so, it's still much better than any other mechanical pencil I have used before.

Answer:	Pull the eraser holder out of the top of the pen gently. Add 3 to 5 0.7mm leads (no more than that) into the barrel and return the eraser holder, pressing firmly until closed.
