Answer:	Remove the upper part and put in .5 lead refills, then put the top back on and click until the lead appears on the lower part of the pencil.

Answer:	I have seen black, orange, purple & clear so far. The best way to find out is to write to the manufacturer (Pentel) and ask there customer service.
Question:	Do u know how the 0.7 compares to 0.9 size lead. I'm thinking the 0.9 will break less, write darker and thicker
Answer:	Yes 0.9 is a stronger lead. It is darker also. Although the last 0.9 lead I purchased for some reason is not as dark as before. But love this size for the reason you mentioned. I have a heavy hand, I guess, because I will always keep breaking 0.7 lead.
Question:	Has anyone used this on a scantron and/or standardized test? Do they work the same as a #2 pencil
Answer:	Yes, I've used it on tests plenty of times. The pencil itself has no effect on the scantron, it's about what lead you put in the pencil. Pretty much any HB lead will scan on tests! The lead that comes inside this pencil will scan, as will all Pentel HB leads.

Answer:	The pencil pulls apart into two pieces. It separates just below the clip. There's a white tube you slide the lead into....just don't overfill (3-4 pieces)

Answer:	Yes it's comfortable for using over a long period of time, but over time (1+ year), the rubber grip part gets loose and does not stay on the pencil. Despite this it is a very comfortable pencil to use and will last for years.

Question:	Is there a way to get more eraser out of these pencils? They have a metal wrap that restricts most of the length
Answer:	Sure. . .but you do have to gently pull on the eraser part to extract it from the metal shell. I've used these pencils for years and just love em'. Not sure why but this was always my pencil of choice when I was working my way through school on to becoming an engineer. Doesn't hurt to have one of those larger hand held erasers for emergency's though!

Answer:	It's refillable and I think you can purchase more erasers.
Question:	This might be a dumb question, but how do you make the tip retract
Answer:	To retract you press the same button on the rear that is used to expose the lead, but you hold it in and press the pencil tip against a hard surface.
Question:	If I order 3 packs ( come 2 in a pack)-do you get different color barrels or they will send you 3 of the same colors
Answer:	Whatever the package shows is the color you get. I received a turquoise and a gray. Just make sure the tube of lead is there. Mine was missing.

Question:	Is this mechanical pencil comfortable when used to write for long periods of time? Thanks in advance for any answers
Answer:	Wobbly may be a bit of an exaggeration but there can be a bit of movement in the tip. I have a two Graph Gear 1000's, one tip has no movement and the other has maybe a 1/2 mm movement. The movement is imperceptible while writing though, at least for me.
Question:	Some people say that since the tip is retractable it can become wobbly while writing. Anybody else have this problem
Answer:	The eraser is located under the silver cap at the top. Being a drafting pencil, the eraser is very small (~4mm) and is designed for fixing small mistakes without erasing anything else. Question:	I don't see the eraser.,.. How easy is it to expose it? Can you leave the eraser exposed? I typically always do that
Answer:	You must be careful to not mistake the little 'pusher' piece, which is white and tiny, in the lead sleeve for lead. The pusher piece will stick out a short distance when there is NO lead in the pencil, but DO NOT get rid of this, or the pencil won't work. I watched a YOUTUBE video on how to load the lead and I figured it out, I just looked for Pentel Graphgear 1000 load lead, or something similar. One would think, though this isn't complicated, the mfr would put some sort of information or instructions with it, sometimes one can be just too clever for one's own good. Or, perhaps Pentel thinks we are all intuitive and of genius level - that is dangerous thinking. On the positive side, the pencil feels pretty good in the hand; I bought the set of 4 , one set for my wife and one set for myself.
Question:	where does one find the instructions for this mechanical pencil
Answer:	All Rhino Trunks use the same Rhino wheel system. So one set of wheels will work on any size Rhino Trunk. Except the Cube. There are no wheel adapter plates on the cube.
Question:	Are the wheels designed differently on this model than the slightly smaller model
Answer:	No it cannot. Although it is a very strong trunk, it is not designed to take the abuse from shipping companies. We recommend our Indestructo Travel Trunk for shipping if that is your desired purpose.

Answer:	Hello consumer! Pentel does offer softer lead in 0.9mm, soft-darker B (50-9-B) and the soft-darkest 2B (50-9-2B). But all Pentel mechanical pencils can be refilled with any other brand’s lead as long as the diameter is that required by pencil and no longer than 60mm. Answer:	If I recall, they come in the blister package like pens usually come. BUT if I were giving this as a gift, I would find a "gift box" and fill the gift box with the pencil, extra leads and erasers to make it a set.

Answer:	Just push down on the top of the barrel, like your clicking a pen. As you push down and hold it. You can push the mechanical pencil down on a hard surface or your finger to push the lead back into the pencil. Same loading a new stick of lead. Hold pencil in your hand, push down the top of the barrel. Hold it down. Slide the new stick in as far as you want. Very simple.
