Answer:	The package contains a small metal tool that hooks between the cogs a the top of the spring. Once mounted in the hinge, you can turn the cogs about 90-180 degrees before you must set the locking pin. Then you re-position the tool, pull out the locking pin and turn some more and reset the pin. However, my experience with this product and 2 other branded products (which have identical design and probably OEM manufacturer): this door closer does not have sufficient torque to close any but the lightest of doors. I could only tighten the spring a little bit to increase the torque. If I tightened the spring any further then the spring mechanism produced its own resistance and diminished the torque. About 5-6 years ago, I bought a similar "Stanley" model from a local hardware store. It was a well-designed product that could close an interior, solid-wood door. Recently, the spring on this unit broke (understandably) after thousands of door open/close operation. But the 3 replacements (different brands purchased online or at the same retailer) are ineffective at closing many interior doors. Unless your doors are extremely lightweight, I recommend you look for a higher quality, higher torque product. It's a shame because the earlier generations of the product worked and the profile of this design is ideal for interior doors.

Answer:	The hooks are very sturdy, but the main consideration is how the hooks are fastened to the wall. I recommend using a longer screws and mounting the hooks to a stud behind the drywall, or using a set of heavy duty drywall taps if the bass is more than 10lbs. I hung three guitars including a Fender Strat that was 8.5 lbs with no problem. The hooks come with a set of screws. The screws are not long enough to screw deep enough into a stud behind drywall. I used a longer set of screws that better matched the drywall taps I was using.

Directions

1. Clean and dry the surfaces and free of dirt and oil.

2. Refer to the recommended attachment size per weight and surface. Cut and apply tape to back of object.

3. With protect film attached, press tape so that there is no air bubbles between the tape and the object. Avoid touching surface of tape.

4. Remove protect film align object to desired placement.

5. Press firmly object to mounting surface. Hold for 20 seconds.

Tips for Use

1. Holding weight is based on objects with a maximum depth of 0.75”. Objects over 0.75” in depth put more stress on the bond and have an increased chance of failure.

2. Tape must make contact with surface. Ensure tape fully adheres to surface and object. Press evenly to remove air bubbles between tape and object.

3. If surface is uneven, tape will not be able to make contact and will not hold. Full strength of adhesion is reached after 24 hours. In order to speed up this time, press the tape firmly and evenly to object.

4. Apply when temperature in above 50℉. The ideal Applying temperature is between 68℉ and 104℉. In-use temperature range: -40℉ to 302℉

Warning

1. This is a permanent tape and may cause surface damage or leave residue if removed.

2. Not for use in applications where injury could result if mounted item fell.

3. Not for use on wallpaper, delicate surfaces, polyethylene and polypropylene plastic, Teflon or other non-stick surfaces.
