Answer:	Yes, you can! I use one of these Keylion holders for my company "key" cards. I like that it's strong enough that it won't bend the card but not too thick for the scanner to read.

Answer:	I use mine as a ski pass holder, but it stays inside my coat so this may not help. I can say they are heavy material, nevertheless, I do not know what would happen at low temperatures—that is do they get brittle? I would suggest freezing one in a refrigerator if you have access to one. If I can find my additional ones I will try it.

Answer:	Yes it cab be submerged if you seal he zip enclosure tightly. I inserted a paper towel, zipped the enclosure and submerged it for over 10 minutes. The paper towel came out dry. But it is up to you and how well you zip the enclosure.

Answer:	My kids use these at their high school since their badges kept breaking. They added multiple layers but after a 3 or 4 thin cards it started to break apart.

Answer:	It is not adjustable. Standard lanyard length. You can remove the ID holder and use a reel spinner if you choose. Great quality item and love mine. It’s very durable.

Answer:	I don't know about magnet but our building has key cards that you hold near the door receiver and it turns from red to green. I can face the badge holder either way and it works fine just being near the receiver. Never a problem.
