Answer:	I didn't attach it to my wall. It is hanging from my doorknob. It is a little heavy but there is some industrial-strength velcro strips that might hold it up. Answer:	I may say yes, the latch came apart totally that give you space to placed anywhere, It seems to be water-resistant, I am a Realtor and use it for doorknobs, not really in constant exposure to possible water.

Question:	Is there an emergency override to the lock? My code no longer works
Answer:	From what ive read, there is no way to unlock the box if you have forgotten you code. However, a little tid bit for you to possibly help you on your journey of oopening it again. A typical code of 1, 6, 2, 7, 3 is the same as say 5, 0, 4, 9, 3. Basically the code registers "sides" but provides numbers for you to better disguise the code. So if your code was 12675 then its really left side, left side, right side, right side, left side. So basically pressing 1 as your first number in reality you could press the 5 and it be the same. So as long as you press a number on the same side as what you thought you originally programmed it as then you may eventually get it back unlocked. Not exactly the answer you were looking for but atleast its something you can run with until you crack it.
Question:	how to change code
Answer:	You can change the code - This assumes you used your old code and got the lid separated from the box - pull of the white Kidde plastic plate off to reveal the set screws and corresponding button numbers - Get your magnifier glass out - look very closely at each screw to reveal the directional arrow - which is almost invisible to the naked eye. Stand the lid with the key holder up - (1 off 6) on the instructional plate. Then with a screw driver align all the arrows on the screw straight up. That means all the 10 screws are in the off position. Then press clear on the Front of the lid. Now write the numbers you want to use as your new code. (A birthday might help memory usage) Next with your screw driver, on the screw side of the lid, turn only the numbers you want to use in the on position down or in the opposite direction (0 on 5). Now press the clear on the other side of the lid. Time to test push the number pins in your new code and try the open button. You will see both the open and the clear buttons move and the lock moves inside the device to lock. Put your key(s) on the holder place the Kidde white screw cover back on and you are good to go. You must put the code in. Hold the OPEN button down on the lid until you position the lid on the box bottom first never releasing the open button until it is in the lock position. You cannot open the box without a working code.

Answer:	There is no override manual key, so if you lose the code you will have to try the 10,000 possible combos... why I do is open up a document on my phone and then lock the document. Or put in a safe place...

Answer:	You set a code. Then you enter code to unlock it. Put your key inside. Shut box, rotate dial. The next time you enter the same code as before. You do not need to reset to a new code until you wish to change it for whatever reason.

Answer:	The factory combination is set at 0000. 1) Dial all four numbers to 0-0-0-0 2) Push the Black switch. The box will pop right open. Follow the instruction carefully.

Answer:	The Box itself is made of plastic. The shackle that goes around the doorknob is metal and the front keypad is metal. it doesn't seem very secure since most of it is plastic.

Answer:	No. You select the 1 to 12 symbols (0 thru 9, *, #) that will be in the combination but pressing those correct symbols in ANY order will open the lock.
Question:	How do you get this out of plastic package? Yes, I am serious
Answer:	Just cut around the circle as marked in the back. You'll be able to see the place where the two plastic zip ties meet. You can cut through these with a sharp blade. Once that's cut you'll be able to remove the Master Lock from the plastic packaging. Good luck!

Answer:	You can mount it on a door if you can do so securely. I would not recommend mounting it on a hollow core door. A metal door maybe. It would be best to mount it on the door facing. It works out well there for me.

Answer:	Yes, it should as long as there is enough space between the door and the door knob. The lock part is large enough to fit around my metal railing, but the code part might be difficult to reach if the knob space is tight.

Answer:	Step#1:Turn dials and align numbers to 0000 with the guide line. Step#2:Pull up shackle and turn 90 degrees facing front of lock to align projection on shackle to the notch on the lock body. Step#3:Press the shackle down and turn 90 degrees facing number guide line so it's in a fixed position. Step #4: Now turn dials to reset combination. Step #5: Return shackle back to original position. Your personal combination is now ready to use.
