Answer:	No, it comes with a code as well as a key? I keep the code in a secure place and the key with me.

Answer:	Excellent safe for fire and water protection but not for security. Will prevent access by children, snoops, and amateur thieves. Experienced, capable thief will defeat both the combination lock and key lock, or just haul away. I keep the key in my safe for that reason. Recommend for important documents but not for valuables.

Question:	Will it hold a 1" notebook
Answer:	Yes, depending on the size of the notebook (internally the free space measures 10.25 by 12.17 by 8.58 inches). The box must also be used regularly or the lid left open. If left closed for an extended period of time (few months), desiccant packages should be added inside, or within the box moisture will collect, and your notebook will grow mold :(
Question:	Will silica or something similar help protect from mold
Answer:	I would think yes. I do not have a mold problem with mine.
Question:	how good is the lock
Answer:	The lock is not the best feature of this safe. A screwdriver could open it . The safe is water tight and fire proof, that why I bought it.
Question:	How does it get moldy? Where should it not be stored
Answer:	We had the smaller of these waterproof First Alert Fire safes -- 2017F, .19 cu ft. -- and, it saved ALL of our difficult to replace/impossible to replace documents, DVDs of our home and contents and other small articles that I'd carefully stored in it for @ 10 years! Our home burned to the ground, but, the next day, a firefighter waded through and cleared debris to the concrete "well" I'd designed into the pantry in our home to receive a large fire-water safe. One of THE BEST steps/decisions ever made, as the fire, the insurance haggling, the shock...were all horrific and, not being able to readily put our hands on such items would have added to the pain, incredibly!Recommend, definitely, that you initially put desiccant packs into any such fire-water safe and then check contents once-twice/year. As it was with our smaller First Alert case, molds did grow, but I monitored and replaced desiccants at least once/year. Know molds would certainly have grown more easily; as it was, there was some mold. Don't understand quite how/if there was innate moisture in various papers (??) when put into safe. Anyway, no reason not to use desiccants -- and, check/replace as needed. I did, and am so very grateful!

Answer:	It comes with 2 Keys, they are rather small with a knob on them so it would be more custom than the normal blanks they carry. Practically speaking, I rather doubt it.

Answer:	No, it's not designed to be attached to anything, though I suppose you could run a chain through the handle and padlock it to something.
Question:	If it's not in a damp area why do I need something to absorb moisture inside
Answer:	Just like in a shoe box with your new shoes or in your pill bottles, you need those little packets to prevent moisture/dampness/mold/mustiness from forming. Have you ever opened a box of old papers or pictures & found mold spots &/or smelled the mustiness? This is deterioration in progress & can happen in any climate in any closed up container.
Question:	What’s the interior dimensions
Answer:	I would say that the interior size is about 10 " long by 8 " wide by 4 - 4 1/2 " deep. It hold a lot of papers and other items. I bought a second one as I have not only my items but my husbands, mother in laws and Moms papers and some coins and jewelry.
Question:	What can I put in here to absorb moisture? Moth balls
Answer:	They sell bags of desiccant to absorb moisture but it's only temporary and they need to be replaced. I made the mistake of not opening the safe every 2 weeks like the directions say and after a year or so the cash I had inside with a bag of desiccant was damp and moldy. I do not use my safe anymore for that reason. But if you open it once in awhile to let air in you should be fine.

Answer:	You may be able to drill a small hole into the back of the safe to get the power in (with the right tools... it's a safe remember lol.) I wouldn't suggest it though, considering the amount of heat generated from charging a battery. The safe would not be able to draw enough heat away from the battery and whatever else you may store in there. If you increase the temperature inside the safe (without ventilation to the outside) you may face problems with humidity. I suppose you could however use desiccant packets to control the humidity levels but then it becomes a high maintenance steel box. So overall, yes but its a pain to work with - whether your drilling one hole for power and using desiccant packets for humidity control or drilling many holes for power and ventilation (probably need a fan too.)

Answer:	Yes. There are holes already drilled in the bottom and it comes with lag bolts to attach it to ? However, be aware that this is easily defeated without tools if security is really a concern. I use it to keep the honest people honest in my office.

Answer:	Do not get this if you really want to keep things safe. This will only keep honest people honest. A quick rap on the top while turning the handle opens it right up. If you really insist on using this for a computer, check the inside dimensions. A 17" macbook pro will fit.
