Answer: Hello, well, as I am not too familiar with chinchillas (they are very cute though) my larger piggy is roughly 5-6 inches long. She is still a youngster, around 6 months or so. Also, she is flat/long, while a chinchilla if I recall, is a more arched shape animal. If you decide to purchase, it is worth the price. It is well made. Perhaps, down the road when my piggies are older and larger. I gave the hay bags to my nephew for his rabbit. It seems to be working out ok.
