The manual for my laser printer does not say anything one way or the other about printing addresses directly on envelopes with metal clasps, but I would not want to risk it myself. |

It was the clasp that was bad and had to reinforce the bottom of each with tape. But we were putting bulky items in them and not flat stuff which might have contributed to the problem. |
