Answer: Yes, this is a sturdy unit and two of them side by side would probably support most home printers. However, remember the size - the top of this unit is 12.5" wide by 9.25" deep. Two units side by side would still only be 9.25" deep. Try your printer on a board that is 9.25" deep first and see if it is stable. I hope it works for you.

Answer: Doesn't come with black screws and caps at the moment, however, the screws are not very visible since they don't sit flush to the surface and go below the surface
