Answer:	The adhesive on the mousepad backing is the same sort of stuff that is used on Post-It notes. The people complaining about it destroying their wood finishes are failing to mention that they let moisture get under it (from a spill, or a humid room) and the long-term effect of the water on that surface made the stain/paint/etc bubble up, just as ANY table would do if you left a pool of water on it for days.

Answer:	The Mamba works great while hard wired. I owned a Death Adder prior to the Mamba and performance is identical. The only difference is that the Mamba has two extra buttons and a little more weight.

Although if it's *just* RGB you're interested in, you might want to check out the Naga Chroma instead. Cheap Chinese products are designed (generally) to make money at the highest profit margin and steal market share with seemingly good value. The only reason I'm looking now for a replacement is my middle click doesnt work about 30% of the time, a button I personally use all the time. Very solid mouse.
