Answer:	I bought this mouse pad and 5 others to compare. This mouse pad does not feel like gel. It feels like memory foam. This was the softest of all of them. At first it feel very comfortable and form fitting as that is what memory foam does. The problem with memory foam is that it makes some people sweat. Some of the other brands that were gel are a bit firmer and with the cloth there is less direct contact and then sweating is not a problem. I preferred a different brand that was gel with fabric covering even though it was a bit firmer.

Its not a terrible odor and not noticeable during normal use, although the smell does transfer to your wrist after using it. Question:	I have an Apple Magic Mouse. Will this work with it
Answer:	Some said that on Apple Mac OSX this 3M Mouse Pad did not work. 3M is a great company that bases its success on quality R&D so I looked into possible problems with the Mac system. I found that on my Mac Mini the blue tooth antenna is poor so you have to have the mouse and antenna on the same side of the monitor. I am right handed, so my mouse sits on the right side of the screen, thus I had to put the Mac Mini on the right side of the monitor so the antenna is close to the mouse. When you do this, it acts "right". If you are left handed put both the mouse and Mac Mini on the Left side of the monitor. Also, when ANY mouse or screen feature is used (turned on with a check box option) in Mac's "Accessibility" Systems Panel or in the "Mouse" Systems Panel, that affects the graphics-or-mouse such as zooming the screen or makes the mouse cursor larger, or any other such feature, the software delay time makes the cursor jump eratically as it moves across the screen. This is just flaky design that did not prepare for blue tooth and graphics delays. So many mega HZ and it still is not fast enough to get the mouse smooth, so the designers are sleeping me thinks... One help is to put your display screen, using the Display Systems Panel, at maximum scan rate like 60 hz frames per second not 30 and not 24. On some resolutions you are forced to lower frames per second and this makes the mouse jump, oops… Other mouse fixes: If nothing works then blow in the mouse's laser light whole to clean out dirt. If you use rechargeable batteries in the mouse then change them when one third or one half used well before the system warns you. Mice are flakey with a mind of their own. So as Buckaroo Banzai (from the movie) might say "Good luck John Smith…".

Answer:	It looks to be a textured surface that is pretty much smooth. My Microsoft mouse just slides over the mouse pad surface. Very little resistance compared to a regular mouse pad. One great thing about using the 3M pad it takes very little effort to move the mouse and you have to get acclimated to that feel. One thing that I did was to peel off the backing of the 3M mouse pad and glue it to a regular mouse pad I had left over. Now the 3M pad never moves.I like the 3M pad so much I have 2 of them.I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.Great product!!!!!!!!!

Answer:	Yes. The pad is a smooth piece of plastic and when you move the mouse across the plastic, it makes very little noise. I also believe (I really have no way to test this) that this pad makes your mouse movement more precise. I know they advertised it that way, and it seems true. Highly recommended!

Answer:	Use water and dish soap which is a wetting agent. Rinse off the soap and let air dry. Do not rub too hard or you will remove the adhesive.
