Answer:	It will probably work for 12" x 12" paper if you use legal size file folders, though that's configured for 11" x 14" paper so 1" of your scrap book paper will be taller than your file folders. If that isn't a problem for you it should be fine.

Answer:	It depends on how many sheets of paper and how many folders you use. I currently have approx 50 folders (each with 25-50 sheets of paper). The size of the unit 12" deep and 15" wide. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Three ring binders do fit. The number that will fit will depend on how full the binders are because the 'file box' is narrower at the bottom that the top. The measurement on the top is 12 inches, so theoretically it would hold 8 of the 1.5in binders. Hope that helps!

Answer:	It is very stable. I have loaded it up with heavy duty (heavyweight) manila folders and have had no problem - it doesn't budge. When you carry it, carry it by the handles. I am beginning to use it for Pendaflex files, also. It's wonderful for both manila and pendaflex.

Answer:	Yes, we hung it into anchors in the wall. It's held up well.

Answer:	Mine is in my classroom and I'm at home, so I can't measure it for you at the moment, but the slots are wide enough to accept a spiral bound notebook and tall enough to accept an additional 250 page novel.

Answer:	If you mean that you could read from the front, the answer is no. That surface is thin...less than a quarter inch. However, it's designed so that you can slide an 8 1/2 x 11" paper into the slot, and at the front of the slot, there's a visible black surface that is a full half inch wide and will nicely hold a label without being covered by the paper. However, you kind of have to look DOWN to read it. We have this in our preschool, and it works just fine. It would only be a problem if you have the unit up high. As long as the top row is eye level or lower, you can read the labels easily. Hope that helps! It's a fairly sturdy unit and works well for our needs.

Compartment Labeling

Whether you're adding names for the students in your>numbers for the corresponding tablets or subjects for returning assignments, the included sheet of sticky labels lets you easily mark each compartment for a particular person, machine or hour of the school day. Labels are included but you'll need to supply the marker.

Gently Tap In Dowels

Start assembly by adding the dowels to the vertical panels. Dip each dowel one at a time into water to activate the adhesive coating, then tap with a hammer until the dowel is set down into the panel. The damp glue on the dowels can get a little messy and possibly leave a stain on hands or materials, so wear a glove if you want to and be cautious about touching other objects after you handle the dampened dowels. You'll need to provide the glove and the hammer – they're not included.

Build Frame

The tops of the dowels should be roughly even with each other when installed and stick up slightly less than half a penny. (see the inset above) You should have two end panels and three divider panels. Align the dowels on each vertical panel with the appropriate holes on the base panel and push down until they're fully seated. Add the top panel to row of vertical panels and push it down until fully seated. Wait! - Make sure the finished edges of the side, top and base panels all face the same direction and the end panels are really on the ends!

Fasten Backing

Grab your hammer again because it's time to start attaching the fiberboard backing. You'll be tapping nails along the edge to fix the board to the frame. Nails should be evenly spaced about 4 - 6" inches apart. Use the diagram in your assembly instructions to get an idea of spacing and don't hesitate to grab your ruler or measuring tape and just mark your spots with a pen or pencil before tapping in the nails. Also, take this time to square up the frame with backing board to make sure everything is straight.

Add Shelves

After the frame is assembled, you can start configuring your shelves. Insert four metal support pegs for every shelf you want to add. Take a plastic shelf edge and slide it over one end of the hardboard shelf. Set the shelf on the support pegs ensuring that the side of the plastic shelf edge with the extended lip is facing down and that the lip settles in behind the front pegs to keep it from sliding out forward. After the shelves are all in, you're done! Nice work!

Answer:	Its very stable. I have each section stuffed with papers and heavy paper to make mailing labels. The bottom has 2 shelves which holds CD"S and additional accessories that I use for the printer. I keep this right next to the computer and printer.

Answer:	The horizontal shelves are open on both sides. I actually like that because the way it is sitting on my desk, I can get to my papers from both sides. The shelves are deep enough that I have not had a problem of things falling out. I guess it depends how much you try to pile in one shelf.

Answer:	Holes 3" x 3 1/4" and it is NOT made in USA as stated in description. It is made in China. If my husband hadn't already had it put together by the time I got back to my office, I'd definitely have sent it back. The item is totally overpriced and misrepresented. I try to never buy things made in China.
