I cut the cardboard into several pieces and it cut smoothly but with a slight resistance (a little more force than with plain paper). Accordingly, within the dimensions of the cutting board and guard, you should have no problems.

The 508 is a small personal craft trimmer designed for a few sheets of paper per pass. The laminated card stock would either stop the rolling head right in it's tracks, or cause the cutting head to "jump track" and come out of alignment.

From my experience (using THIS cutter for 15+ years) cutting delicate items, I use NONpermanent double sided tape and attach the delicate 'ads' to a piece of scrap paper (I use computer paper) lining up the edges. This gives you a way to hang onto the delicate ads/small pieces of paper you want to cut, giving them a straight edge. The scrap paper also gives the cutter something to hold to, rather than the delicate paper going thru alone. I cut delicate (re: old) newspaper, vintage doilies, vintage catalogs/books (early 1900's). If I can be of any more help please feel free to contact me. Answer:	I am not sure. I have not tried to cut such a item. However, I did place a thick sheet of plastic that is not so flexible and a pretty thick restaurant menu just to see if I could provide an answer, and it provided a clean cut. Question:	Can this cut multiple pieces of cardstock at once? If you've tried this, about how thick was your cardstock, and how many did you try cutting at once
Answer:	I believe it will only trim one piece of cardstock at a time...however, I haven't really tried it. I would think that the cardstock is too heavy to slide beneath the wire, plus it may slip

Answer:	Yes it does but you have to buy the scoring blade which is black and put it on the rail. Or you can just buy two one for scoring and one for cutting. This is a great cutter and scorer. I've had my trimmer for about 1-1/2 yrs.
Question:	Need replacement blades...which replacement pack available at amazon is correct

Question:	Will this cut through tic tac wall tiles
Answer:	if your referring to the fluid normally found inside compasses to dampen movement there is none in the one I got, so nothing to leak out, and that is what I wanted.
Question:	Does this cut vinyl sheets
Answer:	Do you have the compass pointing. It must Point North then it will give you the right directions. Turn the compass test till is pointing North the needle will always Point North and then if you turn the compass after you know which direction is north then it will give you the correct reading but you have to know where North is to start with I hope that helps you brother God bless enjoy your compass

Question:	Is there a ruler that comes out farther on the sides? What is the longest distance you can measure from the blade to the side
Answer:	There is no extendable ruler. The width is 9" from blade to side. I purchased it so I could cut 12x12 paper point to point to make triangles, which it does fabulously.
Question:	Can you see exactly where the cut is being made? I have a rotary cutter that can't cut less than 1" because the blade guide covers it
Answer:	This would be the same as the rotary cutter you currently have in that regard.

Question:	I would need it to cut 13" x 19" glossy photo paper along the 19" side. Will it work for me
Answer:	I bought this unit in Feb 2010, and from the dimensions given on Amazon (23.1 x 11.5 x 2.8 inches), it sounds like it should. Fact is, it won't. The best you can do is 18". I believe those dimensions include the packaging.Still, I like the unit, and have another cutter for my longer length cuts.Sorry for the news, but I hope it helps you make your decision.
