Answer:	The dimension along the blade side is 24.5 inches. The other dimension is 25 inches. I have not cut more than one sheet at time (I use it for photographs) but I am very pleased with the unit.

Answer:	Yhe grid is machine etched into the wood. You can feel the grooves as you rub across it with your fingers.

Answer:	Including the bolt protruding from the handle by the hinge, the dimensions of my trimmer are 26.75 x 4.5 x 20 7/8".

Answer:	I have used it to cut 651 oracal vinyl and the masking paper, it works great! You just have to remember to pull the lever handle towards the left (just slightly) while you're pulling it down to get a really clean cut. And after awhile you may get some glue build-up on the blade, I just use rubbing alcohol to clean it off.

Answer:	In response to your question, I took a heavy cardboard box that had been used to ship produce and tried to cut it. I cut the cardboard into several pieces and it cut smoothly but with a slight resistance (a little more force than with plain paper). Accordingly, within the dimensions of the cutting board and guard, you should have no problems.
Question:	Could I use this to cut card stock (say three sheets of the thickness of index cards
Answer:	Not more then one sheet of card stock. I woke at a restaurant and it’s not capable of cutting more then one piece of 65lb cardstock for our menus without causing fraying of the edge. Not very professional.

Answer:	I use mine for cutting 12 x12 papers. The table width is 12.25 with 12 inch markings. With the cutter it is 13 1/8 inches wide Vertical it is a 13 inch board surface and with the cutter is 19 inches. I hope this helps you. BTW I love mine. It is well made, sturdy and cuts beautifully

Question:	Can this cut 17" tabloid sheets
Answer:	I believe so. I have not needed a replacement part but I think I read on the specifications tab they were available. You do know you can rotate it 90 degrees for a new cutting surface.
Question:	Minimum cut size? I heard that this cutter would not measure all the way down to 1/8", which I need to be able to do my paper quilling. Is that true
Answer:	Not quite sure about the question, however, on my trimmer there is a small lever near where the long handle, which operates the blade, pivots; the small lever has to be pressed down; it is spring loaded so hold it down while pulling the long handle to operate the cutter blade. After the long handle has moved a bit you can stop holding the small lever down. Be sure that the paper is clamped tightly by operating the rotating handle at the end of the blade assembly opposite from the long handle pivot. After the cut, when the long handle is moved up to near vertical, the lock device will re-lock the blade in the up position. Hope this helps. Bob
Question:	Maximum cut size? One reviewer says this cutter will not cut a full 12" (they say it 'almost' cuts 10"). Is that true? I need 11 inch cuts. Thanks
Answer:	The paper clamp has a crank handle on the front that is used to raise and lower the presser. When the cutter arrives, this crank is installed backwards for shipping, so you have to take off the retaining bolt and turn it around, then put it back on before using the cutter. The directions do not mention this step so it is somewhat confusing when the cutter arrives. The paper clamp assembly itself does not move, only the presser bar that holds the paper in place for cutting. If you do not securely lower the presser bar before you cut, you will almost certainly end up with a crooked cut.

Answer:	An Ingento (tm) guillotine cutter is a trade mark of the Swingline (R) Corp. It is more of a trimmer than a paper cutter and uses a curved blade like a scimitar whereas the HFS blade is not. You might have to do considerable modification of the blade and the cutter to make it fit. I hardly think it would be worth the trouble. Interestingly, "Ingento", (the dative or ablative of "ingentus" in Latin) would mean for, to, at, from or in the great one or the giant. "Ingenti" in Italian, I believe, has the sense of massive or substantial.

Answer:	No these are not the same thing at all. The Swingline has a curved blade. It is also considerably less substantial.

Answer:	Walmart add for the apparent same one (9115) says it's self sharpening and they are $20 higher plus shipping and tax.

Answer:	It will cut regular poster board, not just the real thin stuff. Use a quick, firm stroke. It also helps to pull the cutting blade slightly toward the wooden bed as you cut.

Answer:	12 in. x 16 in. The handle extends 5 in. beyond the base.
Question:	Does the board have weight to it or does it feel like those flimsy plastic ones
