Answer:	The desk I ordered was different design but same manufacturer. It gets a little shaky when it’s at the very highest height but other than that it’s stable.

Answer:	The metal parts are very heavy so I'm guessing they're steel or some other metal material. Not plastic. The white desk parts are melamine.
