I just went outside and measured, the interior dimensions are: EXACTLY 48 inches wide from side to side, but the doors are not straight across, they are shaped like a wave and from front to back the measurement is only 20" at its narrowest and about 22 at the widest.

Liquid would leak unless you use something inside to seal it or a place a container inside of it. I would also want you to know that the lid has buckled on mine. I have it on a porch where it is exposed to the sun during part of the day so you may want to be aware of that. I use it to store yard work supplies and bird seed. It's also handy for extra seating or table top. I have the larger chest on a covered porch (no sun exposure) and the lid has not buckled but it is also reinforced differently than the smaller box. Question:	I am having trouble finding the right accessory shelves and hooks for my lawn tool. What do you recommend
Answer:	I installed the shelf hooks and measured center to center on the screw holes. Measured in Lowes and only Rubbermaid metal shelf rails had the correct spacing. Of course pricier than the generic. Bolt them to the hooks that came with the shed, put double hook shelf supports on the rails and lay some wood shelves on them. I suggest long screws up thru the supports into the underside of the shelves so something heavy toward the front doesn't flip them down on your feet.

Question:	What about the clearance needed to get tools out that are stored in the holes? Any issues with ceiling heights when getting tools out
Answer:	Yes, I would recommend having a minimum clearance of your longest tool/rake/etc plus about 10 inches when taking the item out of the rack. I would not recommend it storing large/long tools in an area with a low to normal 7-8ft ceiling (run the risk of hitting the ceiling occasionally). I personally have mine in the basement with a 10ft clearance. It would also work well in some of the pre-fab tool sheds that have a high ceiling. Hope this helps.

CAN this be put outside? Sure- just like anything you own can- your couch for example. But SHOULD you? This is not its intended purpose. I'm not sure it's UV rated (and I wouldn't expect it to be). Maybe keep on the edge of the garage and roll it out? You could ALWAYS replace the casters no problem if they crap out-cheaper than the holder and your tools!

Answer:	I have at least 50 tools in this caddy including a sledge hammer with many other various tools that would destroy my car. I park my BMW a foot from the stand every day and I have tested it like an earthquake would and it is perfect! I would never park my bmw near it if I were scared of it falling over. Difficult to believe how sturdy it is sometimes.
