Answer:	I purchased a new set of these phones to replace a worn out 10 year old Panasonic set. I did notice the batteries needed to be fully charged 3 or 4 times before reaching max talk time. After a week or so on my desk ( and FULLY charging the batteries every other day) the phones now hold a charge quite well. These phones also provide an audible prompt when the battery level is low.
