Answer:	This phone has a single or number “range block” block. Either way telemarketers have ten or more numbers they use in random sequence, so if you can see the top and low you can block the last two consecutive numbers like 00-10, or 10-19 or maybe 00-99. This phone is saving my sanity and giving me a chance to sleep.
Question:	Can I use the headphone jack with non Bluetooth earbuds
Answer:	Yes, you can turn the ringer off on the handset by pressing and holding "0", then turn off the answering machine by pushing the "answer on/off" button on the cradle, then press and hold the volume down button on the cradle till you hear a beep/tone. The phone won't ring, the cradle won't ring, and the answering machine will not answer so you won't get anyone leaving messages.

Answer:	Yes - refer to page 33 in the manual under 'silent mode'. Set the beginning and end time one minute apart (ex: begin 10:30pm - end 10:29pm.) This will turn the ringer off on the cordless unit. Do this on the cordless hand set you want to silence. It took me awhile to figure this out. Hope this helps.I use the hand set as a bedroom ex. If you want it to come back on during certain times set the on/off times accordingly. Mine stays off at all times.

Normally truckers operate on AM mode rather than sideband. However a few truckers who have Sideband capable radios will use sideband when they get further apart or can't get a good signal on AM. But the majority don't use sideband.

Answer:	Yes. You will require -1) An regulated power supply that converts AC electricity to DC. The voltage you want is a constant 13.8 VDC (not 12 volts, you won't get full power) and which can supply a minimum of 5 amps under load.2) Do NOT press the microphone button until all steps have been completed.3) You will need to mount an external CB antenna at least 9' above the roof line. If you use a mast, it must be guyed every 10' above the last (highest) physical attachement to the house.4) You will need to properly ground the antenna mast to a copper clad ground rod (between 4' and 10' long depending on soil conductivity for your location dry sand: bad: 10' / wet rich soil: excellent: 4')5) You will need to properly ground the chassis of the CB to the exact same point that the mast is grounded to on the grounding rod. This is the step that most radio noobies skip. DON'T skip it.6) It is highly suggested you purchase a ground shunt (static discharge) for your coax; and yes, connect it to the same exact spot on the grounding rod.7) Try and purchase the highest quality 50-ohm coax you can afford. These items can be bought on Amazon or you can get them at a truck stop.I recommend Amazon because of a lower price and free shipping and the secret nature of being able to hide your purchase if it's a surprise gift.Truck spec is a cheap brand for the 2 wire power cord and for the antenna I recommend one of the following: K40, Wilson 1000 or the Wilson 3000 magnet mount antennas.Those come with the antenna wire already attached to the magnet and all he would do is run the wire through the hatch or the rear door after mounting the antenna on the roof. It's really easy to do. Just hide the wire under floor mats and beside the seat up to the dashboard to the CB.Now if you are looking for a better radio and easier to use right out of the box, I recommend Galaxy or Connex as these are rock solid and all the knobs are right there on the front of the radio unlike this modern radio with most of the adjustments in menus which made me feel like I had to relearn everything over again. I prefer direct access.This Uniden Bearcat 980 has an annoying beep sound every time you change the channel. Those two other brands of radios I mentioned are more expensive but are what the big boys in my industry use in their big rigs. Answer:	According to the manual (Page 4, Page 39) you can expand your phone system by registering optional handsets (6 max.) to a single base unit.

Question:	Do I have to have a landline or can I use my cell phone to connect to this
Answer:	No, if your older with a slightly hearing impaired... the volume is very soft even at it's highest volume. If you need a slightly louder set, this one is NOT for you. This is only half of the volume of my older Panasonic KX-TGE433B .

Answer:	I purchased a new set of these phones to replace a worn out 10 year old Panasonic set. I did notice the batteries needed to be fully charged 3 or 4 times before reaching max talk time. After a week or so on my desk ( and FULLY charging the batteries every other day) the phones now hold a charge quite well. These phones also provide an audible prompt when the battery level is low. I feel the batteries need to be 'conditioned' with repeated LOW BATTERY and FULLY CHARGED cycles before holding the longer charges. After a month or so of daily use I'm well satisfied with this set.
