I purchased two sets rather than expansion handsets because it was more cost effective.

Answer:	I get the batteries from Amazon for 5 to 6 dollars apiece. A lot cheaper than getting them from Uniden. The battery I have says this: model BT - 446, Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable battery; DC 3.6V. 800mAh; Ni-MH, 2011H. I wasn't sure what information you need off the battery, so I listed everything on it.

I have been using the desk phone and 3 cordless phones for about 6 years. Each has a speaker phone option. There would be little advantage to being able to connect a wired headphone to the wired desk phone. If you have at least one of the wireless phones, just attach the optional headphone, clip the phone to your belt, and go where ever you want within range. I find the speakerphone switch on the wireless phones works just fine for my purposes. Of course, Uniden has some newer models available now. I doubt if you can find the TRU9488 or TCX905 with many vendors.
