Answer:	Yes, What I do is open the 5LB of flour and kinda let it slide into the container still in the bag. works great. the sugar I pour the 4LB bag without the bag into the container. Answer:	We tap these bungs a bit deeper than normal in the anticipation that the bungs will shrink a bit during the welding process. If you are using a MIG welder, please note it can be a lot more difficult to control the heat like you can on a TIG welder. If too much heat is applied, the bungs will shrink to the point that they need to be chased with an 1/8" NPT tap. Answer:	We have not had an outage since I have owned this, but since it is a land-line phone I assume the phone will work on the old type phone lines, but maybe not the answering unit. (This is why some keep a landline phone for another kind of security.) I am definitely not a techie so double check this.
