Answer:	Fortunately' my husband's jacket had no chemical smell that a simple washing with detergent could not remove. In as much as you have tried baking soda and vinegar soaks without success, try this method: Castile soap works very well for removing chemical odors . Add two tablespoons of a liquid castile soap to warm water in a bucket. Mix well before adding jacket. Use enough water to completely cover the jacket. Agitate the jacket for a minute or two and let soak for at least 30 mins. Thereafter agitate again, gently wring out excess water and rinse with cool water. Place in dryer with dryer sheet for about 5 minutes and remove. Hang to let any dampness air dry. Hopefully this will work.
