Question:	how waterproof does it make the paper? would it survive a trip through the washing machine
Answer:	Well, I use these pouches to laminate work stations for my kindergarteners. They write on the pieces with vis-a-vis markers and then wash and dry them off with paper towels after they're finished. The edges stay sealed and I've never had a problem with water getting inside. I would think something would survive a cycle in the washing machine because these pouches are really thick - much more so than regular laminating film. Good Luck!

They are very common though anf sold in all staples and office supply stores like that. But yea it's the "pouch" that makes the laminated shiny surface happen!

Answer:	Hi, all thermal laminators utilize heated rollers to both melt the laminating adhesive and move the laminating pouch through the machine. A "two roller system" means that the laminator has two heated rollers. A "4 roller system" has 2 heated rollers, and 2 nonheated rollers that improve the finishing quality (by pushing out additional air within the pouch). Question:	Do you cut business card size off the full sheet before laminating
Answer:	You can, but it is not necessary. Just cut off the size you want after laminating but be sure to leave 1/8" to 1/4" border around the item to ensure it's proper seal.
Question:	Will it laminate cardstock as well as construction paper
Answer:	I would say yes to the cardstock but no to the construction paper. It works just like the self laminating machine at a FedEx-Kinkos. The material in construction paper is too uneven that air bubbles would probably occur if you laminate it. In the past I have laminated construction paper (not with this machine) and it does not turn out.
Question:	I dont know much about these but whats the difference between the hot and cold lamination? Aso is there a specific brand of pouches that work best
Answer:	Hi- I haven’t used the cold feature or the pouches for cold lamination. Cold lamination usually uses a lamination pouch that comes with a sticky adhesive already inside and can be sealed without heat (these pouches don’t necessariky need to be sealed with a cold lamination as hey are self-adhesive). I’ve read that these are usually used for fragile documents that may be damaged by the heat of a laminator. I ordered the Crystal Clear 200 piece lamination sheets from amazon and they work well on all the lamination machines I’ve used.
Question:	what is the ABS switch for
Answer:	Originally I thought it was meaning you can use two types of plastic laminating sleeves! BUT when you push that button the laminating sheet with back out... push out backward. It is there in case of a paper jam. Hope this helps! I LOVE MINE!!!

Answer:	Any "hot" laminating sheets are supposed to work. I use the "Universal" brand ones that I bought from Amazon and they work great. There are several sizes. The one I use most often is model 84642 which are business card size.
Question:	Can you laminate numerous pages one right after another or do you need to wait? Need to laminate about 22 pages. Thanks
Answer:	Short answer is yes, I have done 30 pages with no problem. I run a page and while its going I set the next one up. Might be a few seconds in between but thats about it, no waiting.
Question:	Are the resulting laminated items stiff or really flexible? I usually laminate at Kinko's and the results are a harder laminate
Answer:	With this machine, which uses either 3mil or 5 mil thick laminating sheets... your final product would be somewhat flexible. . . Kinkos probably uses 10 mil. thick laminate sheets, which would be more ridgid.
Question:	I keep having problems with this not feeding the sheets through properly - they keep getting crinkled around the edges and folding in the machine
Answer:	Also had this issue when not laminating something that filled the laminating sheet. Solved it by cutting a small square of paper into two triangles and inserting them into the first corners I was feeding into the machine. They started going through smoothly.

Answer:	It only going to laminate as big as a 8 x 11.5 so if its bigger than that it won’t fit.

Answer:	I laminated thicker cardstock but nothing as thick as a NFC card. it is a tiny portable unit.

Answer:	By smaller laminating sheets or cut larger sheets to size. I put several smaller items in the large sheet and then cut after laminating.

Answer:	Any size up to standard size paper depending on the pouch. It comes with a variety of sizes. I laminated some ID cards with it which should be identical in size
Question:	I bought this to laminate certificates at school... how do I prevent them from coming out too wavy
Answer:	I haven't had wavy results but it sounds like maybe the heat function is too high making the plastic get too hot and then ripple. A thicker laminating sheet is what I would try.
