Answer: Yes. I bought this to laminate a concealed handgun permit that was on paper and good for 5 years. You have to have the permit on you and the paper would not last that long. The permit measures 3×5. I trimmed mine with good sharp scissors after I sealed it. That was 6 months ago. I looked at it today and it just looks like a laminated permit. Totally unremarkable.

Question: do you have to use a gbc laminating machine for the gbc pouch or can you use any brand laminator? thanks
Answer: I wouldn't' t cut the pouch. I would put both bookmarks in one pouch. Make sure there is some space between them and carefully slide the pouch into the laminating machine. Then you can cut out each bookmark.
Question: It's 5.56 for 25 covers ? Or how many came in the package because I'm confused

Answer: No, I'm glad I kept my other ones. Some do come With the protective cover but this one did not. I would send them an email to be sure.
Question: Will this auto cut all 4 sides of legal size cardstock at max gsm of 250 or is it more rated to just do standard copy paper
Answer: I've used them with a couple types of machines. I have a GBC one at home but a different brand in the office. I'm pretty sure any standard laminating machine will work. Remember to use the right heat setting, this is thicker than the usual stock.
Question: Will this handle 14pt paper stock, auto trim
Answer: It says 25 to a pack. I don't remember seeing them sold in smaller quantities. That's a HELL of a lot less than I used to pay! I liked them because I used to make laminated instruction tags for fixtures & these made for a nice, heavyweight, professional-looking tag.
Question: How do you laminate something that is smaller than the minimum width in the adjustable tray? We are not finding it possible to do this

Answer: 14pt is 270 GSM. The machine will handle up to 250 GSM but in manual mode. You can feed Legal size, but you will need to trim the 14" side margin (there will be extra film on the 14" side). We carry other auto laminators that can handle thicker stock and more sizes of paper...
Question: What is the difference between the 3mil and 5 mil
Answer: Thank you for your interest in our GBC Foton 30 Laminator. The minimum document length and widths supported is 6"L and 5"W.
