The ORIGINAL HP-35 from 1973 or so had an LED type of display with red numbers against the black background, and was MUCH easier to read, in my opinion. Any LCD becomes invisible in bright light. |

It uses parentheticals to enter data, so the user must enter the required data in the required order, but there is no prompt. The TI-84 gives prompts for required data points such as mean, median, z-scores, critical values, etc. It also has more data packages than the 83, so less work has to be done manually. I'm kind of glad my 83 crapped out so I had to replace it! :-P Hope that helps. |
